Can you sync a fitbit device (i.e.the zip) with a kindle fire?

I am interested in purchasing this fitbit device, but I'm a little off-put at the possibility of not being able to sync with my mobile devices. I currently have a windows phone (htc 8x) and as of right now, the only fitbit apps available are second party clients. I understand that fitbit is now able to sync with android devices, so I'm really hoping my kindle fire is compatible. Does anyone know?

Replacement tablet for Kindle Fire HDX?

I've loved the Kindle Fire tablets since the first one came out. However, as I've grown older (I'm 15 now), I've found that the tablets aren't as amazing as I thought. My main problem is the lack of Google services. Since I've gotten in high school, I've found a wanting for Google apps, and a NEED for Google Drive.

What are some tablets to look at? I'll take any recommendations into account, but I'd prefer this criteria:

Around $200
Operating on Android (do not want Lollipop)
Camera (preferably front and back, but at least one or the other)
Physical buttons (like a physical home button, touchkeys as well)

I'd be at least partially satisfied with my current Kindle Fire, and probably the future generations too, but without those Google services this thing is like a large iPod touch, but even then the iPod touch would still be able to connect to Google Drive.

How to re-kindle a relationship/marriage after having a baby?

me and my husband been together for 5 years (6 in feb). Ever since we had our beautiful daughter,( whose now 7 months ) we haven't been so luvy duvy much cuz I stay at home all day with our daughter, which is alittle stressing… And my husband goes to work for 7-8 hours. When he gets home we don't really spend time with eachother unless were eating dinner together. But then were both taking turns giving our baby a bath and putting her to sleep. After she goes to bed, me and my husband don't really spend time together. I go in the bedroom and he is in the living room playing video games. We don't even get down and dirty as much as we use to. Its rare if we do, which isn't good. Sometime we just constantly argue over little things (because we are stressed from the baby). We tell each other we love each other and were happy with each other but our marriage has been so dull. We sometimes even look at each other like we should change our image cuz weve been letting ourselves go. We love each other and don't want nobody else but each other, we just lost our spark and happiness. I just want us to balance ourselves and have a happy and healthy marriage and re-kindle our relationship again, even though theres a baby in the picture. I just want to balance our marriage and our relationship with our daughter.has anybody ever dealt with this or is going through this. Please help

Should I buy a ipod touch 5th generation 16gb or Kindle Fire HD 6 16gb?

Hey all. I am interested in buying a new handheld device to use whilst slowly replacing my aging 4th gen.touch. I want a device to browse the web on, enjoy new apps on, and have a decent amount of space, so no less then 16gb. So far I like reviews of the 6 inch fire and its reasonably large screen for a one hand device. It is also a good amount cheaper as well. On the other hand i love my beloved ipod touch and I trust everything apple related, as well as really liking the looks of the 5th gen touch and its camera capabilities. I am worried though that the device is already a couple years old and I dont want it to age quickly. Can anyone recommend one over the other or have experience with ne of them? These two devices are what I am interested in the most but if there are any $200 or less recommendations for tablets that would also be appreciated.

For a little background, I am a 20 year old college student who doesn't upgrade tech often, so whichever one I buy I will own it for no less then a few years. Thanks

Firewood is hissing and not burning well?

Bought a cord of firewood from a reputable seller. I was not there or would have not picked eucalyptus but that is what my mom was talked into. Now it is requiring massive amounts of kindling to stay lit and the wood is hissing while burning, something I have never heard in my life.

I am in California and the wood was purchased before our current big storm, so it didn't get rained on all that much. Is this uncured? Is this unusual for wood purchased from reputable source? (i.e. Actual firewood dealer, not just someone's backyard tree). Should I complain?

and the author discusses the importance of sticky em dashes, using the code ^+ within the text, and then sticky hyphens using ^~. I wouldn't go to a proper restaurant on my own or anything, But when I do shopping for my Mum or I vist her at work she has a subway near her and sometimes I pop in and sit by myself eating whilst reading my kindle. Do you think this is sad or pathetic?

My kindle broke and after talking to Customer Service on Amazon, they sent me a new one free of charge. But now, like two weeks later, I just got an email that says I need to send the broken one back or they are going to charge me $69 to my account. Only, I don t have a credit card attached to my account. Only an empty debit card. I don t have a car or a UPS anywhere around here or anyway to send out mail, so what will happen if I just ignore it and don t send the broken kindle back?

Update ipad or buy kindle paperwhite?

Hi I currently have the iPad air 1 and I was wondering should I upgrade to the iPad air 2 or instead purchase the kindle paper white. The price works out as about the same for both. I currently do read most nights using the kindle app. I don't really have a problem with the iPad for reading but I heard that the e ink screens are supposed to be a lot nicer to read off especially at night time

Kindle store connection problems?

I have a Kindle 4 (model B00E) with wifi. The kindle is able to connect to the internet using the "experimental" web browser, but whenever I try and connect to the store, I am told:

"Your Kindle is unable to connect at this time. Please make sure you are within wireless range and try again. If the problem persists, restart your Kindle from the menu in Settings and try again"

I have already restarted the Kindle, and tried reconnecting to the wifi manually and with WPS. Is there a way to fix this?

What e-reader should i buy?

hello. Im looking to a cheap of e reader but i dont know what model or make to go for. Here is what i want it to do:

1. Be able to read pdfs
2. Be able to listen to mp3 files on it

I'm looking for it to to do this because a lot of what i want to use it for will be fanfiction or books only released on the internet and fan-read audio books. I don't need it to do anything fancy as long as it can fulfill these two purposes.

i read somewhere online that one of the kindle models allow mp3 but you cant skip the file or select the specific track to listen to, this wont do as each chapter reading of my audio-books are kept on a separate track and im guessing i wouldnt be able to skip to a specific file or part of a file.

just looking for some help and a little advise.

Right so I'm deciding between getting a kindle and a tablet and I'm stuck. They seem to be similar enough in price. I read a lot but I'm concerned with getting a kindle as I would like the books for free. I use tuebl to get my books for moon+ reader on my phone and I was wondering can you use the likes of tuebl with a kindle? BUT I understand you can get apps on tablets. So I mean I could just get a tablet and browse the internet and read my books the same way. You see my issue with my phone is that it's so small. Surely that's pretty bad for your eyes.

So which should I purchase? Also what would you recommend as I have little knowledge of brands of each and which would be of more benefit to me? Is a tablet just a big phone minus the ability to text and ring people?

New phone on straight talk?

Basically I'm getting a new phone under Straight Talk (I've had it for a year, just need a new phone is all) and I have a few questions and really don't want to call and ask, so:

Will my phone number remain the same if I just switch phones within my account?

Will I still have the same gmail connected to the phone? Will I be able to activate it from the new phone or transfer it over?

What about apps that need an email address like the Kindle app or the Kik app or the tumblr app? Will I need new accounts?

Should I activate the new phone before or after adding airtime?

What will it be like when I switch phones?

Basically all I really want to know is what is going to change when I switch phones and what is going to stay the same? I'm very nervous about this and don't want anything to go wrong so if you have any info at all that would be FANTASTIC.

I recently left a site open on my Kindle (on accident). Grooveshark, I think it was? Anyway, ever since I left it open, the letters on some different things such as my search bar, bookmarks, and tabs, have been SERIOUSLY screwed up. You can't even tell what some of the words say. Kindle Fire or Samsung Galaxy?

So I'm soon getting my first tablet and have narrowed it down to either a a Kindle Fire or a Samsung Galaxy. I've learned from watching my friends experiences to NOT get any budget brand, but still, not everyone (myself included) has the funds for an iPad. I've also decided that for portability reasons that I'll be getting a tablet with a 7 inch screen.

I guess I'm here looking for both advice and opinions on these 2 tablets as they are my top choices. So, of the 2 which is likely the better?

Is a Kindle a good present for someone going into the Navy?

My boyfriend is going into the Navy and, after basic, will be shipping out some time in July. For Christmas, I wanted to get him something he could like and something that would be useful to him while he's away. He loves to read, so I was thinking of investing in a Kindle for him because I love my Paperwhite quite a lot and it's come in handy.

I know there is more than likely not recreationally accessible Wi-Fi aboard the ship and 3G likely as not will not be useful out at sea, but I suppose I was wondering for those who would know much more than I would on the subject if this is a good gift idea? Any information is helpful, even if it's a comparison between the Paperwhite and the Voyage (which caught my attention mainly because of the name).

Is the Kindle Fire HDX 7 bigger than A3 paper?

I mean just the screen, not the whole thing.

I did some research and I found out that the Kindle (Fire HDX 7)'s screen is 1920 pixels in height and 1200 pixels in width, then I went to a few converter websites and they all gave me the same answer. 1920 Pixels = 50,80cm and 1200 Pixels = 31,75cm.

Then I went and searched how big a page of A3 paper is, and it's 42.0cm in height and 29.7cm in width, so I was like WTF? How can the kindle be bigger than A3 paper when my Laptop screen is 1366 x 768 pixels and it's way smaller than A3 paper.

P.S. I also checked the resolution of my mum's tablet which is a Hudl 2, and guess what I found out, it's the same resolution as the Kindle HDX 7, yet that thing is fricking tiny! Like wtf?

P.P.S. I know that the "7" in the name means that it's 7 inches. But still, why are all the pixel to centimeter converters telling me it's 31,75cm by 50,80cm?

Can someone please explain this to me, I'm literally ripping my head over this. It's like trying to understand the Matrix.

I cant find where I'm able to download my tv show and movies on to my computer, I've got this kindle for my sixteenth birthday and bought a kindle fire hd. (worst buy ever) I got it thinking I can use it on the air planes to watch movies and TV shows becasue I always travle. So I have decided that I will finally buy my first tablet. I am debating between the Ipad Air 2 and the Samsung Tab 5. I currently have the Samsung galaxy S5 which I love. I have actually had the 3 and the 4 and of course as stated above the 5. And i love it.

I don't really do apple so no iPhone for me. But i have played with the ipad and like the features and the look and some of the features. But i would like to buy the better of the two. That includes camera (because I skype a lot with my bf but he has an ipad), the apps, books, music.

The reason I want a tablet is because I am a student and would like something I can use for schoosing books. And no not a kindle.

I am in the process of making an ebook. *obviously* So, Its called Dark Cookbook. Its a criminal cookbook. I post about all aspects of criminal hood, like breaking and entering *the first chapter* and lock picking. I really outline allot of criminal acts. I clearly say that the book IS not to be taken literally. I explain that the books intended purpose is for fun reading. It is hyper realistic but its true intention is indeed fun reading. I am not a criminal, I have never gotten a ticket. Lol, I just love law shows and stuff so I did maybe six months of research.

This has been happening for a while. I couldn't connect to my home wifi. Every time I tried to connect it keep saying the wifi is not in range, not showing me the network even if it is online, and when I did see the network and tried to connect it, it say "Authenticating fail". Which school should I choose?

I go to an early college high school, and doing so requires all honors classes. On top of this, I have to take college classes as well. Hihi, i recently finished reasing the novel Another by Yukito Ayatsuji, translated by yen press. I loved it and i want more! Theres a spin off novel called Another Episode S and a sequal Another 2001 but their japanese only and show no sign of being licensed by yen press but Episode S in particular can be bought from kindle so i was wondering if theres a translation feature? I do want to learn japanese but thats years off so this will have to do. Thank you for reading!

Best Black Friday Tablet Deal?

Hey I was just wondering what everyone is thinking is the best deals for tablets on Black Friday this year? I don't care all that much about the brand, I just want it to be a decently good brand. Not a huge fan of apple products (I like them but just not for me) so no Ipads. We are going to buy quite a few tablets this year. We are probably buying a couple kindle Fires already (not for me) and hoping for a laptop (under 200) and another tablet with a key board or key board compatible (under 200). Can someone explain Stevenson's Prince Otto?

I remember reading, thirty years ago, a book by Stevenson, titled "Prince Otto", which was 5/8 completed at his death and published posthumously with a penciled-in last part by an English faculty man. I called it 5/8 of a masterpiece, and have referred to It from time to time since.
Since I happened to have a complete Stevenson anthology on my Kindle, I thought I'd re-read it, and am perplexed to find the work by that name an entlrely different book, not posthumous, with one chapter rewritten by RLS' s wife.
Can anyone explain the confusion?

Best ROM for battery life on Kindle Fire?

I have seen a few topics regarding this, but I am looking for an up to date answer. What is the best ROM for battery life that doesn't take away too much performance? I like to play with emulators on it, and I don't want my DS to suffer. At this point, I am running JB 4.2.2 with hashcodes v3 kernel. I can play for about an hour, and the battery is at 75%. I was running in airplane mode, with wifi off, and the screen as dim as possible. This shocked me.

I tried this KitKang, because I seen someone claim they can have 16 hours with wifi on, but I got stuck in a bootloop after flashing and had to restore. I also tried GedeRom but didn't like some things I was reading about it. Anyone have a custom ROM on their Kindle that has great battery life?
Added (1). Also, the time when an hour use drained 25% battery, was the first night I had it flashed with that ROM. Does it take time for the battery to get used to the ROM useage, or what? Regardless, I want to hear your guys' experience and what you are using.

I'm a very introverted teenage guy, and I have never had a girlfriend in my entire life. Nothing even close. Because I'm introverted, I don't like talking to people (girls or otherwise) unless I have a reason for it, so I only have a few female friends, but I'm not even really that close to them. There was this one beautiful girl I had a crush on because she'd read a long classic book that I had put down, and I admired that, but I never could talk to her and she doesn't go to my school anymore. I don't like the girls at school and I really have no way to meet girls outside of school. Everyone keeps saying I have to be social, and I honestly hate that.
