I've searched around a bit and found that the main answer is either chronological or publication order. Since then I have found on Amazon that the 'Warcraft' books are only available in Kindle edition however the 'world of warcraft' books I can buy physically (I do not own a kindle) what is the difference and does it matter of I just read the world of warcraft books or do I need to read them all to get the full story (if do where can I get a physical copy?)

My Kindle Fire will not charge? Cable seems loose?

It is out of batteries, and it will not charge. I plugged it in over night and it keeps telling me to plug it in. This happened before and i sent it in to Amazon and i got a new one. The old one lasted for almost 9 months, while the new one only lasted a week or two. The cable seems loose. Will they let me send it in again? Any advice? Thanks!

I am curious about chemistry?

I am currently a Junior in High School taking Physics but have kindled a desire to be a chemistry major in college. I took chemistry last year but forgot nearly everything I learned. I would like to go to the local library to pick up some books to become better at chemistry.

By the way, what are some good colleges for chemistry(chemical engineer) in Texas or the United States in general? Also if scholarships are more likely to one than the other, preferably those ones.

Headed to jail as a first time DWI offender. What to expect? - 1

I've been arrested for DWI and due to the fact that my friend's under 18yo sister was in the car with us at the time of the DWI I will have to do 30 days in jail in North Carolina. I haven't had my sentencing yet but my court date is in a few weeks time and my lawyer managed to deal on the amount of time I will have my license suspended and on the fines but the 30 days in jail cannot be suspended for a level one DUI in NC so it looks like it will happen.

I'm a 25yo white professional woman currently working full-time in a consulting firm after very recently graduating from college and I've never been to jail (or to court) in my life before so pretty scared and have so many questions. The only good thing in all this mess is that my boss (who had a dui himself) is helping me arrange a leave of absence from work for the 30 days and having a job to come back to means A LOT.

I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with or knowledge of the following (and please excuse my ignorance, i'm completely clueless about all this):

1. What is the process of going to jail like? Is there anything I need to bring with me?

2. I understand you can buy things like toothbrush etc while in jail but how do I receive the money to do that?

3. How should I expect the living environment to be like in terms of hot/cold, how many people in one cell etc?

4. Since this is jail not prison should I expect to meet there other professional women doing time for non-violent crimes like mine or is it mostly thieves and people like that I'll see in there?

5. I heard food is real bad, should I expect to have stomach problems from it and will I be able to bring relevant medication with me such as Imodium?

6. How about water? I've never drank tap water for as long as I can remember and always drank bottled water… i guess no chance for that in there right?

7. Will my parents be able to visit me in there and how frequently? I'm pretty scared about them seeing me cuffed / shackled etc… will that be the case during visitation?

8. What to do if I'll get picked on by other women in there? Will the guards help? I'm 5'5 and 110lbs and I doubt I'll be able to act tough even though on all forums I've seen people say you should act tough and be ready to fight if needed. How to avoid if someone wants me to buy stuff for them?

9. Are there classes or other kind of programs I could get involved in? I'd do anything which will keep me in a less violent environment during the day as opposed to sitting in the cell scared that someone will start picking on me.

10. Should I expect being taken in immediately after sentencing or can i arrange self-surrended and is this something I'll know before the court date or will the judge decide there? If I can't self surrender should I expect cuffs / shackles etc.and will that be in the courtroom (my parents are already suffering a lot because of this and I'd really like to avoid them seeing that).

11. I read online that sometimes they can just move you around from prison to prison due to overcrowding.is that true or is that only for federal prison?

12. Would I be able to bring books with me and, maybe stupid question, but any chance I could take my kindle with me? I'm an avid reader and have so many books on the kindle.

Kindle fire HD, blackberry playbook or something else?

I am on a budget and I'm looking for a cheap tablet/e reader, no more than £160.
I wanted the kindle fire HD but I've heard some bad reviews about security and so I was looking into the blackberry playbook, however I read it doesn't support skype.
I mainly want something to take to use to read on, plus to keep in contact with people when I'm away from home so something which supports skype/msn is a big plus. I'd also like a good web browser.

Will de-registering from my Kindle Fire HD make me lose all my content?

I recently brought the Kindle Fire HD and I want to be able to use Lovefilm on it. I am already a subscriber to Lovefilm, well my dad is, and I registered my Kindle under my Amazon account and to be able to watch Lovefilm on my dad's lovefilm account I must de-register from my account register a new account unders his Amazons account and do it that way. I want to be able to keep switching back and forth from one account to the other to use the majority of stuff on my account and watch Lovefilm on his.

My question is, will deregistering from my account and registering back again make me lose all of my games, books, apps and also games saved data?

Should I ask 4 a kindle fire or a 4 wheeler/golf cart for Christmas?

If I get a golf cart/4 wheeler It would b the only thing I'd get and probably ask 4. But if I get a kindle fire I get more stuff and I'm also asking 4 a coach purse! I live in an area with decent sized woods and field but yet I live near a school and a few neighborhoods just a couple yards from mine.

Belkin - N750 DB Wireless-N Dual-Band USB Adapter wont connect to wifi?

I have an older computer… a Dell 8300. But, i keep upgrading it, so it works fine. I bought the Belkin wifi adaptor and when i plug it into the USB port, the computer finds the new hardware. i use the install disc to install everything needed. but then when i go to set up the wifi, it doesnt work. Its listed as an option in my networks but it just sits there unconnected. also, it doesnt pull up the list of wifi signals that i know are floating around my house. I have netflix, a kindle and laptop that work fine with the wifi.Is there something i should do in bios? or something else that i should do?

I have a kindle fire which unfortunatly does not run the google play market… I also attend the university of phoenix, and I wish to side load the app onto my kindle (since I do not have google play)… however, I need the apk file to do this, and I have no other android devices to get it… I searched the internet and found one site with a file, I tried it, but it turned out to be the google play app instead. I've purchased a bunch of books from Amazon and have synced them to the Kindle app on my iPad. But, is there a way I can download the ACTUAL.mobi file ITSELF and save it to my PC? How many times will Amazon replace broken Kindles?

About a year and a half ago, I got my first Kindle. I always brought it to school in my backpack, which I sat on a lot, so the screen did that weird line thing. We sent it to Amazon and they replaced it for free. Now my second one is doing the same line thing, but I've been super careful with it and haven't even brought it to school (or sat on it ;P). I am torn between getting a kindle touch and a kindle paperwhite. Unfortunately I have no way of comparing them. Which is easier to read and take notes on? Does it make much difference? I love the idea of the touch, but I am afraid the screeen would be too hard to read as it looks darker. I just need to be able to read easily and to be able to take a lot of notes easily. I was a big fan of the Kindle Paperwhite when it came out few weeks back (like its has such a great display and more fancier with touch controls and all that sort of stuff) until today, something tells me that I should go for the old one. Like when I saw the physical keyboard I could not resist but make it at the top of the list.No really, I just found that this model has the the real free 3g unlike the restricted one on the other models. I have a planned e-book trilogy that I plan on self-publishing on Kindle. Anyways, the "archnemesis", or "Big Bad", of the trilogy is a very ruthless, wealthy billionaire who is trying to take certain artifacts away from the good guys and keep them for himself, since he believes that they belong in better hands. He allies with a very large, dangeorus organized crime group (he basically puppets this group's leader into doing what he really wants). He has a motive to destroy the good guy's secret society/organization, because he genuinely believes that it is corrupt due to once having been a part of it himself.
Added (1). I'm thinking about having had him go and witness a major humanitarian crisis (like Darfur or Bosnia), which then leads him to think that the good guys' group is incompetent/corrupt.

Dell inspiron n5050 dns server not responding?

Ever since i bought this 3 months ago, whenever i try to connect to the internet is says the DNS server isnt responding. I have taken it back to best buy (where i bought it) and it worked perfectly there. I have also called my internet company and they came and put the internet usage to the max. We also have a ps3, another laptop, a kindle, and phones that use the wifi here and those all work fine. Except my laptop. Also ive tried using it when everything using the wifi was off and it still didnt work. My school wants me to read the book "The Overachievers" by Alexandra Robbins and "A Whole New Mind: Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future" by Daniel Pink for summer reading but unfortunately I am in Asia where Kindle doesn't work and i do not want to buy the book and ship it overseas because that would take too long. I'm a university student and a lot of our suggested reading is available online through digital texts and pdf files that the university upload to their website. I'm looking for a tablet that is capable of allowing me to download these files so that I don't have to read them on my laptop. I've been considering getting an iPad but have been looking for something a bit cheaper.

Hi

I've always tried to avoid wifi by using wired router, printer etc. I've established that it's possible to download books to a kindle by using usb cable instead of wifi connection, and wondered if I disable wifi if it still emits radiation?

Also, if wifi is disabled, would this affect a pacemaker?

Get anime subs to work on kindle?

When i put anime on my kindle fire i convert it from a vlc file to a mp4 and then put it in the videos folder in my kindle, it works but there's no subtitles anymore.does anyone know how to make the subtitles work? are the actual video and the subtitles 2 different files or something?

How's this idea for studying Spanish?

For some time now I've been studying Spanish and now feel that I'm ready to raise my level. Would it be possible to buy some type of reader, like a Kindle, that would read me a book in Spanish while the text scrolled by in the reader. That way I would be able to see the words and hear the pronunciation at the same time. I've never used a reader but would like to try this if it has possibilities. What do you think? Will it work? What does it take to get published for Kindle singles?

Not Kindle direct but Kindle singles, the one that publishes shorter stories. I have a couple of short stories that I have written that fit in the word requirements for it but what do they look for though? Both of my stories are YA stories and I really want to try getting published through them. I've read plenty of Kindle singles, some have been really good and others have been really bad.Is it hard to get published through them?

I have a book, Hamlet.mobi that I want to read on my Kindle. I checked the file extensions on the books already on the Kindle and I don't see any that have the.mobi extension. What do I need to do? Can you make furniture from rich pine?

I was wondering if you could make furniture from rich pine. Rich pine is the really resinous heart or center of the pine tree and its also in knots and other parts. When the tree dies and ages it turns Into a really colorful piece of wood. I've never seen it used for anything besides kindling and thought maby it could be used for something better. Thanks!

Kindle or Kobo - which should I buy?

I've realised that an eReader would be a good investment for university because the number of articles I have to read means I either read them on my laptop screen (which hurts my eyes after a while) or print them off (which is a waste of ink, paper and money).

Originally I thought a Kindle Touch Paperwhite would be a good choice because I can not only read general books on it, but also download articles from the web and read them on my eReader.

However, I don't know much about Kobo's products but they are cheaper…

Can anyone tell me if I'll be able to access the web on a Kobo as well in order to download these articles, and which one generally I should go for?

How to get my Kindle to recognize my wi-fi?

I have a Kindle, one of my daughters has an iPod and the other has an iPad. About two months ago (or possibly a little longer), I realized my Kindle was not picking up my wi-fi signal when it had for the past four months previous. I checked my router and it is receiving power and everything appears to be working correctly so I thought the problem was with my Kindle. However, a week or two later I tried to get online with the iPad and it wasn't picking up the signal either. Finally, last night I had to "reboot" (download and update) the iPod and when I signed in and tried to pick the wi-fi system, I was given one or two choices but neither of them was mine.

I have a Netgear router. I looked on the bottom of it and there was a webaddress (www.routerlogin.com) which I visited.It didn't really answer any of my questions but I did run the tests it suggested and it looks like my router is "talking" to my computer.

How can I get the 3 wireless devices to recognize my wi-fi device and use the signal?

If you don't have an answer but know where I might look online, feel free to leave that info as well.

PS - I'm not an idiot but I'm no tech wizard either (obviously) so if you can explain your answers clearly it would be appreciated as I have a couple different things hooked up to the computer. The router, the AT&T "modem" (I don't have dial-up but it's the box I had to hook-up to use my phone line, etc.).

About 4 months ago i took up art as a sort of past time. I guess i got inspired from watching a tv show, because after i watched it, i felt like drawing.So i started out slow, but now im not that bad, but it seems ive lost intrest. If it makes a diffrence, i think i used to feel i had to do art to impress someone or… not tp be mean, Show other people up. I guess when the euphoria of attention wore off, i jus lost intrest. So my boyfriend bought me a Kindle Fire and I really like it. I always read and actually I just recently bought a new book on it.My debit card information is on it on my Amazon account.So I left it on my kitchen counter, and then when I got home it was gone. I asked my mom and she said she hadn't moved it (usually she moves it onto my bookcase if she's cooking or something), so I looked all over my house and it was nowhere to be found. The only person at my house all day was my 16 year-old brother. I've had an ipod, camera, nintendo ds, games and money magically "disappear" from my room before with no evidence where it went.My mom has also had $60 taken from her purse with him as the only explanation in both instances.My mom searched his room the next day and found nothing, but I'm positive he stole it. When she accused him he got all defensive and called my dad's mom and told her what was going on as if he was outraged. There's no other explanation.My mom doesn't know what to do because she can't find it, but I'm pretty sure he's already sold it. (He always has all of this money with no job). I really want it back but I don't know what to do. I work almost every day for minimum wage and I don't think it's fair that he can just steal from me when he wants something.
Also-about two days before it went missing he bought like $400 worth of stuff online.

Why are electronic reading taking over traditional reading?

Personally, i always liked old fashioned reading and old fashioned writing, but i am never comfortable using technology to do those simple things.

Why is it that a lot of us prefer using electronics instead of simple methods of doing things? After all, it costs less to read a printed book than to use a kindle.
