What is this behavior called?
I got a Kindle for my birthday and showed it to my friend. She doesn't like to read, but she liked the Kindle, and the next time I saw her, she had a one, too - the fancier version, with the color touch screen and everything; she never uses it. The same thing happened when I got an iPod; I had one, so she had to have one, too, and I've never known her to use it. I thought the word for it was "petty," but the definition doesn't seem to match up with my situation.

Will I get a free book?
My sister's husband is getting his first book published. He's written about a dozen or so book's that he has selfpublished on Kindle.
I've bought them all. I gave them all five stars even when I thought they were drek.
I'm not going to ask for one, but can I expect a free copy. If not, I will end up buying one. On the one hand, I want to be supportive. On the other hand, I don't want to Shell out $30 for a book I might not even like, and from what I understand, he'd be better off if I just gave him $30 anyway.
Also I'm going to get a book but if I buy one would it be in poor form to have him sign it?

Why does my kindle fire tablet keep randomly playing music?
Added (1). I turn it on, and I start to play a game or surf the web as usual, when all of a sudden music will start playing. At first I thought it was the spotify app, because it always opened the app and started playing music, so I uninstalled it. But now it's playing random music, that I'm not even sure where it's coming from. I restarted my device. But it keeps randomly happening.
