Can you tell me about a Kindle?

I'm looking at a fire kindle HDX 7 64 GB

Can I store music on it?
Can I connect to the Internet. It mentions something like wireless only? Do I have to pay a monthly fee for it? Can I run it without having anytime of Internet or connection? If I'm connected to Internet can I send e-mails? Can I receive them? Would it be difficult to do that. Like typing in texting is really a pain--would it be like that or would the keyboard be bigger? If I download a Bible can I mark the Bible and make notations? Can I download my audible audio books? Thank you for your answers.

Does anybody know this book?

I read a book a few years ago that i would like to read again. It's about a girl that works in like a sex club of some sort, and she's a psych, and she keeps having these visions where she's seeing what this vampire guy is seeing. Anyways he finds her and they have the attraction and her life is threatened by people that want to kill the guy and so then he turns her into a vampire and then the plot gets really twisted. Anyone know this book? I think i got it for free on the Amazon Kindle a few years ago but i don't know where it is now

Should i buy a kindle fire hd 16gb or an ipod touch 5th generation 16gb?

i dont care too much on the prices or the accessories/sizes, i just want to use one for things such as apps, music, photos, vids, books i just dont know which one because kindle is better for books and the ipod touch is better for more apps. I know you can get a book apps on the ipod but i prefer to have a bigger screen (to read) and i know you can get apps on kindle but there are apps you cant get on there like you can on ipod. Im really stuck and its really annoying me which one should i get?

How to find the download folder in kindle fire hdx?

I've read answers to this question on other sites and all turned out to be false. There is no file explorer on a kindle and the box with two lines in the web only show 4 options, none of which are downloads. Can some one help with this issue?

I have had it since Christmas and it always connected just fine, and last night when i got home, id try to connect it it would save the password and then say Authenticication Problem in red letters, and would'nt connect. Ive callled the kindle support, ive rebboted my kindle, my router, everything. Nothing is working. Ive been trying since last night. Help.

A few queries about Kindle Paperwhite?

Hello all,

Just a couple of things I wanted to ask. Firstly, I have no internet at home, so was going to go for a paperwhite with 3g, however, if you purely need the 3g just to download the books, I don't see the point in paying the extra. Is that correct? Do you just need it for downloading?

Also, when I first receive the Kindle, does it need 'setting up', or is it ready to go? If it needs 'setting up', would I need internet connection for that?

I would rather not pay the extra for the 3g as I can download books using my computer at work.

Sorry if these sound like silly questions. Beginner here. Any help would be great:)

How to find page numbers for Kindle books?

I'm taking an online writing class and we have a few books required. Two I have in paperback and the third I have on my Kindle Paperwhite. One of our assignments has a specific page number that has an exercise on it, and I can't find it through my Kindle because of the "location" numbers.
How can I figure out where I'm supposed to be based on the location number?

Changing password on kindle account?

I just changed my password on my Kindle/Amazon account. When I did this should it automatically log my account off of all other devices. I want to know because I changed my password because my ex boyfriend broke up with me and I am the one who paid for the online text book, and he has been treating me like crap, and I don't feel the need to allow him access to MY book anymore. He was logged on my account on his tablet.

So my question is when I changed my password, will it automatically log off the other devices it was logged onto.

just bought a movie today and want it on my kindle fire.

It has a bunch of video files and im not sure if the kindle is going to recognize them or not, waiting on it to finish a transfer.

What is the best way for me to do this?

Most video (full single files) files can just be moved from pc to kindle through USB and im done.

But this time its more complicated.

Been trying to find a download of the movie but this one is unique because its a japanese movie and this DVD has an english language option. No download has offered it but in subtitles.

If i need a program i need suggested the easiest one to use.

I have a Kindle Fire HD 2nd edition. I have Chromecast. I watched online videos on how to connect, but I cannot seem to do it. I get a message saying “Google Play services, which some of your applications rely on, is not supported by your device.” I have downloaded Chromecast from 1mobilemarket. Why can't i get books on my kindle app?

so when i try to download books, instead of just loading and then displaying the "read now" button like it normally does, i get pushed to the "full amazon.com site" but really, there's a bar at the top saying that i'm on the full amazon.com site and right under it it tells me to go back to the kindle store when my download finishes. But under that there's just blank space. When i right click on the "buy" button, it does the same thing. And i tried closing out of kindle app, it didn't work. I recently tried to get a photo editor, and downloaded the installer, but then the installer tried to add tons of other stuff to my computer instead of the photo editor so i deleted it. Could it be a virus? I'm on my windows 8 laptop my the way. It's a touchscreen asus sonicmaster.

I usually use a PC with Windows & and Microsoft Office so tablet Computers are new to me. I am trying out a Capacitive Android tablet. It has Adobe Flash 11 and I have Kindle which will open PDF files. However I have some files that the thing can't open. It say choose an app to open this. I saw that the "gift amazon prime" you have options with payment, one of them being a gift card. Can i send a "gift" to myself? Or does Amazon finally have a payment method to use a gift card?

What to do when an Amazon kindle is soaked in oil?

Hey there!
An olive oil bottle (roughly 250ml) unfortunately opened in my backpack and soaked everything inside -.-
While cleaning the backpack is an issue itself, my priority is rescuing my soaked Amazon kindle.
Does anyone have an idea how to do that? I haven't turned it back on yet so it should still be fine.

I read somewhere else about how to rescue a soaked phone by putting it in water for a couple of minutes, then wipe it and put it in rice over night. Does that apply for the kindle as well?

Dropped my Kindle in the Toilet?

I dropped my Kindle in the Toilet. It seems to have survived as it powers on and functions normally. However, what was in the toilet has left me a bit afraid to use it now. I have a warranty on it so can get it replaced, but it appears to actually work so not sure if I can actually return it.

Or I can try and clean it somehow, but not sure what I should use.

My question is should I seek to replace the Kindle under warranty somehow or just clean the device and its case with a cleaning solution and if so what should I use to clean it? I assume some sort of anti-bacterial wipes?

Referencing Kindle books in an essay?

Does anyone know how to reference a Kindle ebook in an essay (Harvard style) when there's no page numbers? How to cite it in text, especially, where I have to write the page numbers? I can't get access to a physical copy of the book in time, nor do I have time to contact anyone at uni who might know, so has anyone got an obvious solution to this?

I'm wanting to write about a dog and his friend that travel the world in search of one thing. The man happens to be a top Geographer and is on a mission to discover the holy grail. The dog is his friend and basically motivation. I'm asking for a step by step or some type of idea starter to write this book. I'm going to be a Senior next year and I need some money. I love writing and researching but I need money for college. I'm planning on putting it on the Kindle Store instead of actually going to a publisher because I know it will be rejected and plus I live in Iowa, there's nothing here.

I need to find a book about Donatello for a paper but can't find one. Any suggestions?

My teacher wants us to have a book source for our papers, but I'm having trouble finding a book about Donatello. He said it would be ok if the book had at least a chapter about the person, but I can't find any with even that much. Do any of you know of a book that would work? Writing a Non-Fiction Book Advice?

Hello,

Hi everyone I have a bit of a problem. I'm trying to write a short 60 page book on Geography.

- Coastal Geography
- Political Geography
- Climatology/Meteorology
- Historical Geography
- Seismology
- Oceanography
- Economic Geography

These are the ones I like the best. I'm trying to keep it a short documentary type of book. I love writing, I enjoy it, and It's a hobbie. I have the ideas in my head, I just can't put it on paper. I plan on putting it on Amazon.Kindle Store, if I can get an Idea. Basically I'm just asking for advice and maybe some techniques. Can I also get some advice on how to stick with an idea and not being un-confident about it. I love doing research and it's fun, it's just looking for away to put it on paper.

Can somebody positive and really just helpful answer this question because I was just lectured the other day on how terrible it is and how I'm not fit for it.

Is it worth $15 to have the ads removed from the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9?

I'm considering getting a Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 16 gb. I'm curious about the ads on the lock screen. Are they pictures or videos? How long do you have to watch the ad for? Is it worth the extra $15 to have the ads removed? I wasn't really planning on spending $400 on a tablet, but it looks like that's what I'm going to have to do to get a medium/large tablet that's fast. My dad has a samsung galaxy tablet and complains that it's slow, so I'm willing to pay extra for a fast tablet. I'm planning on reading a lot of magazines, surfing the internet, and maybe some games on it.

What are your opinions on the tablet and do you think it's worth $15 to get the ads removed?
