So i want a tablet.but which one?

No ipad… To expensive. I like tablets but I just can't decide. I want one with a new android version. A camera (Maybe if I can't get one oh well) maybe at LEAST able to get a 3G plan. A good nice looking display and something with battery life that's good.So no kindle or ipad? What works for me?

So I received a kindle fire as a gift(it was bought in store) and I was wondering if there was a way to tell if it was the newer updated one vs the older version? The copyright date on the box is 2012 but I assume they were still making the older versions in early 2012.

Has anyone heard of an artist named L. C.van Hunnik?

I came across a ceramic medallion 2 inch by 2.5 inch oval in shape. The subject is a fall pastoral scene with a horse drawn wagon of wood on a dirt path, in a wooded area next to a brook. Sitting on the wagon at the front are 1 lady and 1 girl. The lady has on a brown peasant dress with a white shirt and a wreath of colored flowers in her hair, and next to her is a little girl wearing a white shirt and kerchief on her head with a poofy? red dress and they are sitting next to each other. There is green fruit stacked high which they are sitting on and two harvest baskets behind them. Next to the white/beige horse is a white dog with black spots. Next to the large wheel of the wagon is a small girl with a white kerchief on her head carrying a brown sack, and behind the wagon is a bearded man with I think a long rifle might be a harvest sickle, dressed in brown pants and vest, white hat and shirt.
This is all in miniature so I have to keep looking through a small magnifying glass.
In the foreground is a couple with thier dog by the bank of the brook, having a picnic and he appears to have a fishing pole. Across the path next to the brook is another young man gathering kindling.
This is a highly detailed picture and I believe it was silkscreened on the ceramic and fired, then glazed and refired. There are no maker marks.It has a goldleaf rim and the colors are real vibrant.
Then I saw the signature.
I thought it was T. C.van Hunnik, but it might be L. C. van Hunnick. Either way I could find nothing on the internet concerning the artist.So I'm guessing I have the last name mispelled.
However I found on Etsy a plate with the same signature but a different piece. They seemed to think the L. C. van Hunnick is correct. However the two nn in the last name does not match the n in the name van.It is very neat longhand.
I tried to get a pic you could look at of the signature, but failed miserably.
Is there anyone who knows miniature art on ceramics who might be able to help?

Well I've had my Kindle Fire for a long time and haven't used it for a long time, now I want to buy a book and whenever I search for a book it will say, "We're sorry An unknown error occurred.An internet connection is required to complete the task. I can't decide which one best fits my needs. I would mostly use it for reading, and there isn't a single thing on the Kindle Fire that I can't do on my Galaxy S3, so I guess it's a matter of whether I want to do those things on a bigger screen. On my Galaxy S3 I can watch videos, listen to music, play games, and, of course, download apps. How good is the 3G and wi-fi on the Paperwhite? Can you check your email and get on other minimal sites like Facebook and Twitter on the Paperwhite? Which Kindle would hold more books? I guess the Fire would, given that it's 16 GB and the Paperwhite is just 2 GB, but I guess what I'm asking is: Which one is better for reading if that's going to be its main use? They both seem good. The only thing I've read that I don't like about the Paperwhite is that you have to pay extra not to have the special offers, and that it doesn't have speakers.

Could my router get overloaded?

I have a Belkin F5D8236-4 Wireless N Router and on a daily basses in my house we use about 8 wireless devices at one time. 2 Xbox 360s, 2 Computers, 2 Iphones, and 2 kindle fires. One of the xbox 360s is the old arcade one which I heard takes up a lot of power and your broadband.My router will say it is fine but when I try to connect to my Xbox 360 (slim), kindle, and computer to my router it wont connect. All the devises detect the wireless connection but when I try to connect is just stays on "Obtaining IP address" and won't do anything else. What could cause this. Also when my mom or brother gets on the old arcade Xbox 360 (In my living room) all they do is watch Netflix all day long and that is such a WIFI hog!

Don't say just tell them because they would never let it go. Return the books and I'll get a scolding and be grounded for the rest of the year. I'd buy it on a kindle with a voucher but I don't have one, my mum's kindle? I don't think so, I live nowhere near a library so I won't read there!

Summing up, buying it from a shop is the only answer. I would do Tesco but I can't go there and slip them in with the shopping, my parent would find out at the till. I was using my kindle fire earlier and it was fully charged, it literally just came off the charger. I turned my screen off and set it down for a minute or so and when I tried to use it again, the button on the bottom will blink green but the screen wont come on! I have bought a lot of ebooks from different sources, mostly from amazon ebook store. I am curious to know are they made black and white? or will they appear in colour when a coloured version of kindle is announced? What is the best tablet for me? - 1

I'm looking for a tablet, no less than 7", that allows you to surf the web, play games, read e-books and preferably use some sort of office software for writing.My budget is £120, but I know you can find products much cheaper on the internet.
I was looking at the kindle fire hd, but then I realized that it wasn't compatible with a keyboard case, which really put me off. Here are some things that I'd defiantly like included with my tablet:
1. Compatible with keyboard/keyboard cases
2. Stylus can be used
3. You can read e-books
4. You can write on it, using software similar to MS (obviously not available)
5. Webcam included
What I'd really like is a tablet that would allow you to convert usb documents onto it, if that's possible. But that isn't a major requirement.
I tend to use Facebook, MSN and YouTube a lot, so they'd defiantly have to be available!

My kindle wont charge all the way?

I charged my kindle all night (for about 8 hours) and when I went to take it off the charger, it was no longer charging and it was only about 3/4 full. I checked the charger and the charger is just fine. Why is it not charging all the way?

New Kindle HD 8.9 tablet WIFI LTE?

I'm reading and thinking I might like one of the new Kindle HD tablets. The 8.9" has 4G and LTE. If I have a home network and a router etc.Is it mandatory to purchase the annual LTE fee? Will it simply operate on my WIFI? I don't want to do movies or TV on it, But I do want to be able to download from the Amazon app store. Thanks,

Google Nexus 7 vs Kindle Fire HD? - 1

I'm trying to decide wether to get the google nexus 7 or the kindle fire hd. I want a tablet that isn't too expensive, arund $200. I want to be able to watch videos, movies, seach the web, take pictures, read, and have acess to lots of apps with out having to pay for apple. Any other tablet suggestion would be helpful too

Is it a bad idea to self-publish a novel through Amazon Kindle?

I have hopes of a novel or novella of mine being published at some point.

Currently, I am considering self-publishing some fiction on Amazon Kindle.It sounds like a good idea now, but if one day I'm sending out manuscripts to publishers and have myself an agent, is it laughable that I self-published through Kindle? Would it make me look amateurish, desperate, etc?

I don't want to do anything that might affect my future.Is it a good idea to self-publish through Kindle, or will that give me a bad reputation?

Okay so I'm writing a story (I might make it into a short film with my friends) that is kind of like The Clique. The storyline is that two rich popular girls (me and my bestie) and their clique are throwing a huge summer/birthday party and since one girl left their clique, they need a replacement. Throughout the story the new girl gets a complete makeover, joins the clique, drama starts with the girls all because of the new girl, the party happens without the new girl but she crashes it, a disaster happens, they share their sorries, and rule the school once again. Sorry, I feel like you just read/watched it. Anyway, the character based off of me owns a Kindle Fire, an iPod touch, a laptop, designer clothes ONLY, only the best skincare routine, ah-mazing jewlery, loads of her own money, awesome hair, best friends, she's a cheerleader and her brother is a football player and her dad is a coach, yummy perfumes, and her best feline friend. She doesn't sound all that, but the thing is that the girls are all in 5th grade and and almost in 6th. There will be differant stories and movies, but I'm just wondering does this sound extremely wealthy and Massie Block/Alicia Rivera worthy FOR THEIR AGE?

Okay, I love writing. I write short stories and I plan on putting a few together in a single book and then trying to publish them all. I have one story completed (written, typed, and corrected), one story written (I just need to type it up), and then I am in the process of writing 4 other stories (I switch from one story to another). I was wondering how do I find a publisher? I know I can self publish it and have it as a kindle book or E-book. He wanted one big gift for christmas and he wants something to watch netflix on, originally said a laptop. Not old enough for one! I thought about a kindle fire but he is only 5. Reading books on actual paper.?

Is it bad to read books either through the computer or on my kindle? I find it saves money, and I can easily find supplemental material/discussion pertaining to a book. However, I thought I heard an article say somewhere it's not as good as a reading from paper.

Are there any draw backs on learning related to this? I read read about 60% of my books digital and the rest from physical books.

Unfortunately, virtually all of my information is obtained through the internet.

Youtube does not work on kindle fire hd!

Only very recently have I encountered that when I go to try to play Youtube videos, they won't load anymore. Its not that they cant play, the problem is that youtube wont even give me the the results when I search for a video. And when I go to the main youtube home page, I can see the results but it won't let me select them, even after trying to select multiple times. I have tried a hard restart, clearing cache, cookies, everything else. I even restored my kindle hd to factory default. Wondering how to fix it? Is the problem my kindle, youtube, silk web browser, or something else? Do please help.
