Universal Child Proof 7 Tablet Case?

I want to buy my 3 toddlers soon to be a fourth an android based tablet. I'd like to buy them all one to have of their own, not a shared "family" tablet. We have other kid only tablets that are not android based like the leappad and innotab and I am evaluating the kindle freetime with my oldest to see if his device might be worth going with a kindle.

But what I want to buy are 3-4 cheaper android tablets in a 7" size at the $60-$70 range per, however I am NOT finding a really amazing KID PROOF 4 sided "otterbox" type case for these lower end brands. There has got to be a universal 7"size case to put these in? I tried ebay, but unless its an otterbox style casing, silicone and a shield doesnt really do major protection.

It's either the above route or may just be cheaper to pick a kids android based tablet, but I already know these exist.

Advice on kindle reader please?

hi there,
i am a very avid reader i love books of all kinds. Its a special birthday coming up for me soon and people are asking what i would like. I was wondering about asking people to club together to but me a a kindle reader. I get a lot of my books from amazon and notice that they are much cheaper in kindle form.also quite a few i would like to read are in kindle form only.
i am not at all technically minded so could anyone advise on the best one to get as there is the kindle fire, paperwhite etc?
what is the difference? Are they easy to use? What other functions do they do?
any advice for an old lady very much appreciated.

Could I connect a kindle tablet to a regular PC monitor?

Tablet with detachable keyboard?

I am looking for a tablet, the larger sized one I would say, a bit larger than the kindle fire hd. I am looking for one that has a detachable keyboard. I would be using it for writing and would need something that would work for that type of usage. Not much for the media usage…although there will be some. Any help would be wonderfully appreciated.
Added (1). I've looked at the surface just a bit…I was wondering if there was any other brand comparable to that one, it's a bit pricey.

there's a red triangle and it says either reboot your kindle or reset to factory defaults and I don't want to reset it. When ever I reboot it, it goes back to the red triangle!

Kindle fire won't turn on. Shows logo only?

I got this kindle fire for my birthday last year it's the first one were you can download games and books. 6 months after having it wouldn't turn on anymore it would just show the logo. I would hold the power butting for 20 seconds to restart it but it still only shows the logo. I've charged leaving it on to drain all the battery and charge it again to see if it would work but it still only shows the logo. Any help please?

How to salvage this monstrosity?

Long story short:

I liked coworker, ended up dating, broke it off because she had no time for me. She blew up my phone and dragged me back as a friend. Now, she has lots of free time, and is going out a lot, I tried to re-kindle to no avail. She touches me a lot, and laughs at my jokes, and even says that she wants to make out / sleep with me (according to her, jokingly), but when I try asking her out again, she gets furious, asking how I don't get it through my head that she's done…and then will ask me to dinner three days later. I was doing well with keeping my anxiety under control, but I BLEW up her phone like crazy tonight, acting like a needy wuss.

How the hell do I remedy this tomorrow? And how do I reset my brain to "just-friends" mode?

ok so i have school chromebook for assignments and my teacher allows us to get on the kindle cloud reader app. So i downloaded like 4 books and i accidentally downloaded these other two that have "un child friendly covers" i guess lol and i deleted it from my kindle, but no matter how many times i try to sign out and in to see if the books will disappear, they wont. I'm a law student so as you may know I need to carry and buy tons of books at the same time which is rather annoying.The thing is that I don't live in USA so I'm not sure if I should buy a kindle. So i am what sone people call a scholar. I read books both fiction and non fiction. (Sorry by the way for the incorrect capitalisation of my words, im writing this on my kindle). I am learning spanish, and i want to learn japanese as well as italian. Im studying abroad his summer, but sometimes school doesnt teach me what i want to learn. I want to learn new languages, to watch documentaries, just to learn. Learnlearnlearn. However, i am kind of short on money and i want to buy textbooks that can teach me some stuff that i want to learn (history of the US as in the more interesting stuff, italian, japanese, science/biology/chemistry.) I have maybe $50 to spend on this, and i just dont know if i can quench my thirst for knowledge. What has damaged my kindle battery life?

I've had an original Kindle now for two years. I do nothing with it but read. The battery used to, if fully charged, last me about two weeks even if I was using it a lot. Recently though, it has started to last me only a few days. I have recently charged my Kindle from a Laptop running without a battery (i.e. When it is on it is only powered by a a wall plug). But could that have damaged by Kindle battery so drastically?

Why are we trying to stop gun violence with more gun violence?

Am I the only one on here who finds it funny how in the name of "preventing violence" the ATF will burst into a regular responsible gun owners house and shoot the gun owner and his entire family with high powered "assault rifles", because they have word that the person and the persons family that they just gunned down was allegedly in possession of "assault weapons"? It's just like the war on terror or the war on drugs, but instead it's the war on guns and not only guns, but armed citizens as well. Why does the ATF take it upon themselves to go to a persons house armed to the teeth, just because the persons house whom they're visiting is supposedly armed to the teeth? You know, there is a quote I read from somewhere that went "weed won't kill you, but the DEA might." Similar story here, but instead of weed and the DEA, it's guns and the ATF. When will these people realize that you shouldn't fight fire with fire, because you're only kindling the wood to create an even bigger one? In other woods, why are they trying to stop violence, when they're only contributing to the problem that they're trying to stop, which is violence. I hate it how people are so obsessed with these serial killers and these mass shooters or any other people they see on these midnight crime shows, but yet none of these people who subscribe to this garbage ever for a second take into consideration all of the crimes our pathetic socialist pisspot of a "government" are responsible of. Just because some retard decided to shoot up a movie theater and kill 12 people, wounding almost 60, that doesn't mean we should make it a hell for every responsible gun owner who are just abiding by the law to own a gun! That's like trying to ban matches because 4 year old little Jimmy decided to take a box of his father's matches and play with them, but accidentally burns the house down, killing everyone. When will we wake up and realize that violence is in the people, not the gun and not the people who made the gun? If you want to stop gun violence, then you're gonna have to first get inside the heads of these killers and understand the reason why they kill. You see, our mental health system is corrupt and people are tortured, for example, mental patients are confined within padded empty rooms for hours on end, and can't even leave, not even to go to the restroom or they're forced to take injections against their will (this is a shining example of pharmacological torture that is funded by OUR "government"). We need to REALLY help these people, we need to love them, we need to talk to them and get inside their heads, and then help them change their ways. Not throw pills at them and tell them to shut up! You see, if you want to stop violence and hate, you need to spread love, you need to spread acceptance regardless of the persons age, gender (or gender identity), race, sexual orientation, disability, etc.

Kindle screen unintentionally blacks out/shuts off?

While I'm in the middle of doing something on my Kindle, If I tilt it a certain way the screen will "go to sleep." It will shut off out of nowhere. However, if I tilt it again or put my hand between it and the closing flap of my case which is pressed against the back of my Kindle, the screen will come back up. I don't know if there is a magnet in my case flap that causes this or what, but it is annoying.

What is my wife going through and what do I do as a husband?

Necessary Details: My wife and I both work 40 hours at the same health center where she is the Accounting person and I am the IT person. We have 2 children who are overly entitled (not my opinion either, I just know that the children have MUCH more than other children their age do - what 7 year old has their own laptop?)… We make enough money between the two of us to cover bills; I am content with my income and my wife believes she's worth twice as much as she is getting paid. The house duties have been a problem but for different reasons; she wants more free time and wants less work to do, I just don't want to do it alone because I know two people doing a job gets it done faster.

The Norm: My wife comes home from work on a Friday night and either makes dinner or she orders pizza. She then attempts to plan a weekend where the family hangs out and the two of us hang out (which normally results in a fight because I don't like her hobbies and visa versa). Something happens and she is seduced into going onto her laptop and the weekend just slips away in a trance for her; meanwhile, I spend the entire weekend panicked about chores and I end up getting mad at her for binging on entertainment and we end up fighting over it. Giving up, I do the laundry, clean the house, and I normally keep myself available in case she wants to hang out. While she's hyper-focused on her Facebook, books, and girlfriends, I am the one to break up fights with the kids, go shopping for the family (getting healthy non-GMO, USDA organic, whole foods), and I sometimes find time to read about tech news on my phone… I used to be a gamer, but I haven't gamed in a few years; my wife on the other hand hated games, but now plays candy crush daily and is level 200 something without spending money…

This Weekend: My wife comes home from work on Friday and has made no effort to make food. This actually has been going on all week. We had take out 3 times and the remaining night I cooked. Instead, she immediately went to the computer and scrolled her Facebook. Seeing the writing on the wall I decided @ 7pm to take a trip to the store and get food for the weekend and shop for the pets. I didn't make it back until 10pm and dinner was still not served/prepared. Instead I found empty bowls of sugary non-gmo cereal where the kids fed themselves… I brushed it off and put things away. She got off the computer for the night and I got on to do work related things. She went in the bedroom and read on her Kindle (norm) but she didn't put the kids to bed before she did. I chose not to too because I had work to do and 1am hit and I finally checked on the kids and they were passed out with the lights on. I then went to bed without saying a word to my wife and she laid in bed reading through the night (she's reading black dagger brotherhood books). The next morning she slept in (which is unusual) and I did the laundry, the recycle, and then had to go to the store again realizing my wife wasn't going to do any cooking this weekend and I had lots of work to do from home; so I bought a bunch of frozen foods (still non-gmo and organic but loaded with sodium) and filled the freezer. So far our kids (7 & 11) had to feed themselves cereal again and my wife barely gave the kids enough attention to give them mac&cheese with peas mixed in (an extremely low par meal compared to our usual). When she was finished off the computer (she was on from time got up to about 5pm) I went back to working from home and she went back to reading… This is where things get weird. She begins to realize (I think) that I am not seeking her attention and she stops her reading to text with a friend. I normally give her a hard time for spending too much time on electronics but I didn't this weekend (negative attention is better than no attention I guess). Eventually she stops texting with a friend then finally talks to me (after not for 2 days) and says "Let's start a new anime series together"… Mind you, I'm busy working, all this work needs to be done before Monday. So I politely reject her and I tell her to entertain herself. She goes back to reading and stays up past the time I went to bed making me put the kids to bed alone again. This morning she slept in and everyone else got up at 8am (her 11am). We didn't talk much except to say hi and she got on her computer. I had a major server error and now I'm at the office…

So what do you make of it? Is she getting depressed that I won't give her the typical narcissistic supply and that I'm succeeding in living without her or that I'm not starved for her attention? What could she be going through to provoke so much reading and otherwise escapism on the internet?
Added (1). By the way, I don't want to make it sound like I don't cook. I do. It's just that going shopping for 3 hours was the trade off for her cooking. She said that since she hates going out in public and she claims she is a "shy introvert" that she would cook if I did all the things related to leaving the house. While I don't think it's a fair trade off, I still go out to the store and do all the shopping… Steaming veggies, serving fruit, and baking fish or chicken doesn't take long; I did it for 3 years… I just can't help but feel that the reason she makes me go is because she wants to be on the computer, internet, or on her other vexes and can't become sober long enough to leave the house…
Added (2). Oh yeah, one more thing. I was on some medication over this weekend for a UTI and so I wasn't on the same meal schedule that her and the kids were on. So my dependency on her went from 90% to 0% this weekend and I think it blew her mind… But I seriously think something else was going on and I'd like your insights.
