I want a physical keyboard for my kindle fire (NOT KINDLE FIRE HD) is there any keyboard that is compatible with the kindle fire and can I get it on amazon for less than $30? What other options do I have to actually have a physical keyboard that is compatible with my kindle fire.

Why Are Tablets So Popular?

I just got a Galaxy Note 8 as a gift and have had experience using iPads and after about 3 days with this new tablet I cannot understand why these things are so popular. Everything that a tablet does, my laptop can do better especially watch movies. Yes it's nice for ebooks, but good lord, that tablet cost almost 400 dollars and a kindle reader $120.So I can take notes on it with the s-pen, guess what, a small notebook and a pen will prob cost you less than 3 dollars. Yeah but it's just way cooler and looks nicer on the tablet… it does look nicer and cooler but the upgrade in coolness for 400 dollars is egregious. Oh but it has all these apps… the best apps are mainly games, what any other app does can be done on the laptop but better. But if i were to spend 400 on portable games, well the PS Vita costs about 240 and you can do with it pretty much everything that you can a tablet.
Yeah but it's portable.My Galaxy S3 is even more portable aaaaaad has phone service! It seems all tablets are just lots of icing and no cake. If you have a smart phone and a laptop there are much better ways to spend 400 dollars. The only reason why I cannot return this is because it was a gift from someone close who would be very hurt if I did it.Am I the only one that sees this? Am I overlooking something? Please give me a reason to love my tablet I want to so bad. I appreciate any input.

Minecraft PE Multiplayer Won't Work?

I have a kindle fire and created an awesome minecraft world. I want two of my friends on iPod 4 gens to play with me and check it out. The local server multiplayer on all the devices are switched on. We are on the same wifi network. And we all have the latest version of MCPE. When I start up the world, and they look at the bottom of the world list, nothing blue is there and nothing shows up. They used to play together but can't anymore for some reason. Please help! I researched so much but couldn't find anyone with the same problem! So frustrating!

Why do all libraries have are romance novels?

Y'all know what I'm talking about. They're about an inch and a half thick, and on the cover is usually a physically fit man with no shirt and long hair. Basically, Fabio. Sometimes there's a woman half naked behind him.
They take over the libraries, and I'm not sure why. They're absolutely terrible books.
I recently got a kindle, and when I went to my library's e book section, all they had were romance books! Curious, I read the summary for one.
"Alaina is a stone carver who needs to keep her clan alive. Desperate, she goes to the gorgeous brad for help. Brad only wants to be mr hero, but soon he realizes that Alaina is really hot and wants to bang her. Then they make babies and yeah.."

Can't open Kindle in My Computer?

Amazon.com says this, "Once connected to a computer using a USB cable, your Kindle device will appear in the same location as external USB drives usually appear. For Windows users, this is typically in the "Computer" or "My Computer" menu." When I double click on the Kindle drive it stays in a loading state but never opens so I can't transfer eBooks to my Kindle. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do to resolve this? What's wrong with my Kindle Fire HD? - 1

I've had some problems with the charger not charging and stuff, but it's been on the charger all night. I plugged it in and it had 80% battery left, but when I woke up I tried to turn it on but it wouldn't turn on, so I went and made something to eat(took about 5 minutes) and came back in to see if it would turn on but it wouldn't. Again I have had problems before with my charger not working unless I hold it halfway out of the USB hole. What do I need to do to get it to turn on? PLEASE HELP ME!!!

His birthday is up next week, we only dated six months, and i havent been a very good gf because of my own insecurites, i feel really bad and im trying to change for him, but his dog, who he had for most of his life is being put down tomorrow so we decided not to meet for his birthday which i completley understand, and he even snapped at me hrough his text for the first time and i dont blame him at all for it, i feel im annoying him and he will break up with me soon because he had enough, i was planning to buy him a ipad mini for his birthday present but didnt because i thought it was way too overboard, but since his dog passing i want to get him, is that silly? the reason is i know he wont ever expect me to get him something so expensive or want me to and he would appreciate anything small, i want to get it because i know he hates using his laptop and his kindle doesnt work well and he likes to do these blogs so i thought it would come in handy, but he spent so much money on me these past 6 months and he supported me and helped me and was always so nice to me, i just want to give him something like this as a suprise, obviously nothing i could do or say would help him with his grieve over his dog but i thought getting this might hopefully just cheer him up a little, but im not sure, im really stupid and dont know what to do or say with him without making myself seem so stupid

Which tablet is best for a college student?

Hi Everyone!

I am a college student who is purchasing a tablet mostly for school use. There are so many out there that it is overwhelming which would be the best.

I do have a laptop so i am interested in using this tablet for writing/typing class notes and digital textbooks.

Is Apple's etextbook selection from their book store that good? Because the Kindle and Chegg have a lot of ebooks I can rent.

I know that Apple has a larger app store than Google however is that that much of a problem?

I'm kinda bias towards Android bc i think Apple is too overly expensive and because I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 and love concept of widgets.

Preferably a 9 or 10 inch tablet would probably be more practical for note taking.

Im not really interested in a Windows tablet because of price.

Price is kinda a factor but not really at the same time. If the ipad is the best I dont mind buying it but if there is a comparable tablet for less I would be interested in buying that instead.

Added (1). I just want to add that I have used ebooks before and I am quite fond of them over paper books.

Also, although I know that every textbook is not in digital format, the ones which are not I will just purchase in paper. However I feel that enough of them are. I am a heath science major for ex this semester 3 out of my 4 books are available in digital formats

Teaching Books on Java, Please?

I know I've already posted a similar question to this, but the answers, although good, fell a bit short of the mark. Prob.my fault!

I'm looking for a "Teach yourself Java" book (paper or Kindle) that - once the basics are finished - attacks GUI building from a more "Visual" approach than the "hand coded" approach in all the books I'm reading. Hand coding the GUI is not my strong point. I prefer to see what I'm doing. I changed to Java from Visual Basic when I changed from a PC to a Mac.

I know NetBeans has such an interface builder, but need to learn to use it.

Is the Kindle Fire 1 still a good tablet?

So I know it's a little bit older. But I was looking at the 1st Kindle Fire in Best Buy and messed around with it and it seemed to work real well, and it was really cheap at 129$. Okai so im going to a Comic-Con in September and i have narrowed it down to Miku and SeeU. (P.s.ignore my bad grammar I'm on a kindle and its hats do type on these things) SeeU is newer but Miku is more popular, however i think that Miku weouldbe cheaper and more know as to who i am cosplaying as so i dont get asked a billion times. Kindle Fire HD 8.9 or Microsoft Surface or ANY OTHER tablet?

I mainly need a tablet for my business. I am a custom upholsterer and would really like a tablet to show off my work to potential customers. Mostly personal showing of my pictures in a photo gallery bigger than the size of my phone, so easy transferring of my photos on my digital camera is a must! I would also use it a lot as a laptop for web searching and things like that. And Social networking of course!

I use the popular apps (netflix, games, music), so I like the app selection in google store (android) but a family member has a kindle and the amazon store seems equal to them. But I have heard Windows has a poor selection.
As for e-readers, I don't really read books… like ever… so I feel like I wouldn't be taking full advantage of the kindle.
I liked how the Surface has the keyboard, that is also a big deal, but anymore you can buy a keyboard accessory with any tablet.
Price seems relatively the same between these 2 choices considering my neccessity for a keyboard.
So if anyone has suggestions or recommendations for my specific needs in a tablet for which one would be best, even if it is another choice, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

How to make a miniature campfire in a tin can?

Any Paranormal explanations?

I use my Kindle a lot, and naturally the battery isn't everlasting, so I charge it. Whenever I'm in the room, it's charging. Every time I leave the room, the charger is unplugged and sometimes it takes me a while to notice. Whenever it's plugged in at night, I'll wake up in the morning and it's unplugged.No one has been in my room except for me every time it happens. Answers? Kinda creeped out

I don't have any pets, and I'm 100% positive no one in my house unplugged it.At first, I thought the plug fell out, so I put the kindle on the floor so it wouldn't be possible for it to just be "pulled down by gravity", yet somehow, the plug was out and on the other side when I came back.

Kindle books disappeared when I de-registered?

A few years ago, I got a kindle as a gift.It was registered to my mum's account, cos she bought it. Now I've got my own bank account etc., I thought it would be a good idea to deregister the kindle from my mum's account, and re-register it to my account.

It wasn't a good idea.

All my books have disappeared.As soon as I realised this (not very soon … haven't used it for a while) I registered it back to my mother's account but the books haven't reappeared.

I have purchased all of my books on the same account for several months now. I was just about to open a book that I am half way through reading but my kindle did not allowed me to open it.It said that 'It cannot be opened because it is licenced to a different user. What is a good tablet for textbooks?

I am currently looking to purchase a tablet so I can have my textbooks digitally, since it is significantly cheaper than purchasing new and used. However I do not know which one would be a good choice. I have been looking at the Kindle Fire HD but have not been able to see a demo and everyone keeps telling me to get a iPad, which I really do not want because of the cost and because I feel that there are much better ones out there for much less.

In order to use the text-to-speech feature, an external screen reader program must be installed and running on the Windows PC. I just use Microsoft Narrator, on Windows 7 I open the Start menu, and type into the search bar Narrator. With both Narrator and The Kindle for PC application open, I open an ebook, then all I do is press ctrl+r to start the text to speech.

The voice sounds the same as it does on the Kindle Touch.

Okay so I am going to purchase my very first kindle. I've been putting it off for a couple years now, but alas, I must buy one. I love books, the real books and would like to use my kindle to read books I can't kind else ware. I don't need it to do anything other than load books for me to read. I don't need anything fancy, nor do I want anything fancy, just to read. I also don't want to spend a fortune, but I want a good kindle.So any input into this? thanks!

How do Amazon gift cards work? Where can I get one?

Ok, so my birthday is coming up and I was thinking about getting an Amazon gift card. But the reason I want one is to buy some used stuff, and I didn't know if it worked for that purpose. When you redeem the card, does it automatically add money to your account that you can use as you please, or can you only buy kindles and other stuff that amazon sells new? Also, where can I find them. Maybe I just didn't see them, but I couldn't find any at Walmart. I found some at Krogers, but I don't go there very often. Does anyone know where all they are available?

Packing for Washington DC?

I am 14 and I am spending the weekend (from Saturday to Monday) with my cousins in Washington DC (however I am staying at my aunt's house in Virginia which is about 20-30 minutes from DC so its not big deal) and I am still unsure of what to pack. I am staying 2 nights 3 days and here is what I am planning on bringing so far just in case

Pajamas (2 pairs)
Clothes (2 pairs, because obviously I will be dressed when I leave tomorrow)
Kindle Fire w/charger
iPhone w/ charger
Money
Makeup (just a little- bb cream, concealer, powder, eyeliner, mascara and lipstick)
Shampoo/Conditioner/Body Wash
Toiletries (like deodorant, toothbrush/toothpaste, hairbrush, straightener, hair ties, etc.)
A bathing suit (do they have pools in DC? lol)
Sunglasses
A hoodie (still not sure if Im bringing this or not)
Feminine Products (just in case; please no rude comments about it, thanks)
Glasses

What are other things I should bring to DC? What should I wear and how much money should I bring?

Downloaded some books on kindle fire where are they?

Hi everybody :) Today I download some ebooks online from project Gutenberg on my new Kindle Fire HD.It said download was complete but when I went to "books" or "docs" none of them were there! Can somebody help me out? Thanks!

I bred my tricolored mini rex doe to a beautiful broken otter mini rex buck earlier today. This is my doe's first time being pregnant, and I want some information. I researched on how much to feed, and lots say a cup a day until a few days before kindling.In those few days, how much do I feed my doe? And any other information on feeding or kindling would be extremely helpful.

Help for my kindle fire hd?

So i have a kindle fire, I've had it for a few months, my charger for it broke so i ordered a ten foot long cord, after i plugged in my kindle everything went bad on it, the touch screen doesn't work right and i have to reset it so it works okayish.i looked it up and it said i have to use the charger that came with it but what if my kindle is still messed up? do you think i should try out the charger thing? and suggestions would be nice.please and thanks you.
