What does warmth symbolize in literature?

In my particular novel, the author tends to describe a boy, who is a flirt, with a lot of warmth and heat etc. The narrator, however, does not love this boy, she is just infatuated. The author uses a lot of "The warmth of his kiss" or "it [the kiss] was a flaming torch that kindled desire."

So I was wondering what warmth meant…

Are ebooks bought on amazon readable on an iPad?

Hello everyone. I gotta buy the Feynman Lectures on Physics as ebook. I don't need just a pdf file, cause i gotta be able to reach a chapter just clicking on it in the index. Where can i buy or download such a book and read it on the iPad? I have a kindle and there is possible to seek out a chapter in just on click. Would it work on the iPad as well?

Kindle app stuck in landscape mode while reading?

Hi I have the galaxy note 4 and not to long ago I noticed that when I go to read a book it automatically goes to landscape mode. Even when I have the landscape mode completely off on my phone. It s lock in a way, but only when I go to read the book. The menu screen and library are all up right. But for some reason I cannot find a way to unlock the book itself. I ve been through all the settings and nothing comes close. I ve alsl googled for hours and cannot find anything that works. It is really starting to irritate me lol

Why cant I find The Price of Spring ANYWHERE?

Ive been reading the Long Price Quartet by Daniel Abraham. A series of fantasy books that came out a little while ago. The four books cam out between 2006 and 2009. I have the first three books, A Shadow in Summer, A Betrayal in Winter, and An Autumn War, and am halfway through the third book. Its the last book, The Price of Spring, that I cant find.

I have a pretty reliable source of books. Thriftbooks.com can get you just about any book you want for under $5, usually under $4, if youre okay with paperbacks, which I prefer. Thats where I got all the first three books easy. Now looking for the last book, the site only has it in hardcover for over $20. Its one of the most expensive books Ive ever seen on that entire site. But no matter where I look online, I cant find ANY evidence that the book actually exists in physical form. Even searching google and amazon and B&N, the biggest books sellers on the planet, I can only find audio and kindle versions.

I need to have this book in a physical copy, and I really dont want to pay $20 for it, but the most puzzling thing is that these sites sell all the other books. And its not even that new. Why would only the last book be the rarest book ive ever tried to find, and only in hardcover? Why would the other books, published in 2006,2007, and 2008 be so easy to find, but the one from 2009 is ridiculously elusive?

Does anyone know where I can find a paperback version of this book and why its so hard to find?

Steps to get harassment charges dropped?

Okay so, In may, 2015 me and my girlfriend at the time had a bad break up, and her parents told me not to contact her again, and she will not contact me. Well, she decided to text me off her kindle off a app a month later, and I replied, talked for a few days and she was VERY engaged in the convo.

Then, her step-dad messages me from her account and says to not talk to her again. The next day they file harassment charges, with B.S claims. Saying they never wanted me and her together (we dated for a year, and i was at their house every weekend) and that their daughter had no intentions to talk to me.

I get arrested, then I hire a attorney to protect me. (p.s. Im 18, and shes 16. We ve known each other for years, got together when i was 17 and she was 15.) I tell my attorney everything, show him all the proof, and he says this is nothing but drama and should be ended.

He since has talked to the district attorney, and each time he reaches out to her, she says the case hasn t been filed. Is this good or bad that its taking a while? The charges were placed on June 30th, 2015. Only reason im wondering is because ive been trying to join the army since April.
