Nabi2 or Kindle Fire for child's christmas present?

We have a 5 year old son who has outgrown his Leap Pad (waste of money) and my husband and i are wanting to claim our phones back.

Which is better for holding college books.a tablet or a kindle?

So im going to be going to university and dont want to buy books, so ill most likely just download em or buy ebooks so its handier to fit in a handbag.i was thinking of a kindle so then i could download other books to read them also, but i was advised to go for a tablet as i can use it for college notes also.so can i download books onto a tablet and can i then save it to a memory card?

i also i have a laptop which ill use to do assignments at home, and ill most likely take written notes in class,

My girlfriend REALLY wants a kindle for reading E-books. What exactly is the Kindle Fire?

When Was the Idea of Hell as Afterlife Introduced in the Bible?

Deuteronomy 32:22 contains the bible's first mention of "hell": For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

There are a few other mentions, but nothing about humans going there if they sin against God.In other instances, if they steal or kill or touch the tabernacle, they will be killed or smited by God, but as far as I can see, there's no mention of sending them to an eternal hell as punishment.

Is this idea only in the New Testament?

So, I'm thinking about getting a tablet. I don't want to spend the money for an iPad… $200 is pretty much as much as I'd like to spend.

An idea so powerful that it saps the enjoyment out of my life?

It all started a in around May of 2011. I bought some new video games, got bored of them very quickly, and then made the worst mistake of my life. I gave myself an idea "Maybe I don't enjoy video games anymore". Shortly afterward, this thought crept into every aspect of my video gaming hobby. I started recording my play sessions to see if they were increasing or decreasing as time went on.

Through this I found out that my attention span is around 40 minutes. This turned out to be another gigantic mistake, as I started timing myself and frantically looking at the stopwatch every few minutes until it reached the 37-44 min mark.At this point it's almost as if my emotional status changes from happy/content to bored/unhappy, and I have to turn the game off.

You're probably thinking "so what, guy got bored of video games as he got old, it happens". The problem is that it did not stop there. I received a kindle last Christmas, which I was very stoked about. I purchased a couple books, and on the first attempted reading session this terrible idea crept back into my head: what if I don't enjoy reading anymore either? Rinse and repeat what happened to my gaming hobby, I am now unable to complete a book because I doubt myself into being unable to do so.

Gaming and reading down, not a big issue right? Well it didn't stop there. Soon the same thing happened to movies and television, painting and biking. I've set an artificial limit of 40 minutes on every activity in my life, and it's given me several severe depressive episodes.

Is there anyone out there who has experienced something similar to this? If it helps, as a child I was diagnosed as having ADHD at the age of 10, shortly before being clinically diagnosed with high functioning autism at the age of 12. But why would this issue wait until I was 19 to creep into my life? Is this some sort of hormone problem? I took concerta (methylphenidate) from age 8 until my 18th birthday upon which I quit taking it cold turkey, but resuming concerta has not helped this issue at all.

I'm seriously at my wits end. Someone help!
Added (1). I'm convinced it's the obsession that is the real problem, but the sudden change in emotional status upon reaching 40 minutes seems to be legitimate short attention span.

I am moving out into the country and there is only satellite internet available out there. Its pretty fast but they only allow u 2.5 gb per month then ur speed drops down really slow.My husband and i are both students and need access to the internet.i was looking into getting a mobile hot spot like virgin moble or verizon. I do like the apple ipad 3 and ipad mini's but they are just WAYYY to expensive for someone in year 9 to be able to afford T___T so yeah what I want is…

-Something similar in size to the ipad mini, or something a bit larger.
-Front and Rear facing cameras which take HD videos (I like photography but can't afford to get a camera and a tablet)
-Expandable memory, for one of those micro SD card thingies.
-Android ice cream sandwich 4. (something)
-must have a processor and RAM faster than the ipad or equivalent, (i know the kindle fire is double..)
-I do a lot of manga reading and anime watching, so long battery life would be good
-a HD screen, they look real good when watching and reading anime and manga
-and preferably little to no lag at all on keyboards and such, i hate that T__T

I have looked at the Google Nexus 7 but that doesnt have a rear facing camera so its an automatic no, The kindlefire HD is on my list, except its covered in advertisements on every screen, and you have to pay to take it off, but some adds still stay so it kills my life OTL.so yea, if anyone can answer my long story high demands thingy, please answer! ^^

Kindle fire died, I charged it, still won't turn on!

I have a kindle fire, this is my second one, there was a malfunction in the battery so it was replaced sometime over the summer, and it died. The charger was already messed up, it only charged about 15% of the time it was plugged in, so when the kindle dies I plugged a phone charger in until I could get a new charger. Two days later of it being plugged in to the phone charger it, it still won't turn on! Whenever I push the power button it just turns green for a few seconds then the button goes black again. I bought a new kindle charger today and it is plugged in, when I plugged it in I tried once more and got the same response. What should I do? Leave it to charge and then check on it tomorrow morning? I would really hate for this kindle to be broken, too. I don't really need that to deal with right now.

As time marches on, I find myself with many electronic devices that I've put aside in favor of newer ones. Old computers, old eReaders, old cell phones.

Beyond consigning them to the landfill or recycling, how can I get new life from them. Can I re-task them somehow? Example, can that Pentium 4 computer I have running Windows XP be put to some other purpose?

I've published two Kindle books for children, and I'd like to record audio books of them. I read a bit about proper audio book recording equipment but I have no money for anything like that.

What I have is a cheap Logitech headset with microphone that cost around $20, which I use for business meetings.It works fine for that purpose, but is it crazy to try to record audio books with it? How, and how much, would something like this be better?

Best tablet for web browsing and gaming?

I am looking to buy a tablet to be mainly used in lieu of a laptop for web browsing, video streaming, gaming (apps) and the occasional Skype session. I was thinking of buying a used iPad first generation however for around the same price I could get a new Kindle Fire HD or a new Google Nexus 7. These are smaller devices so I am worried if they are really the best options for web browsing. Which of these options is best? Which other tablets are worth looking into?

When I plug my headphones into my phone and play music, depending on how the cord is laying, only one side of the headphones work. I have to twist the cord to get it to work.In the past, I have just bought another pair of headphones and that solves the problem. I'm not real good when it comes to this stuff. I want the Kindle Fire primarily for reading, but I've also wanted an iPad for travel and stuff so I figure why not just get the Kindle Fire since it does everything in one and is cheaper than the iPad. When it comes to GB I'm not sure which to order. I don't plan on storing a lot of movies on my Kindle. I'll probably only put 3 or 4 movies on when I travel, then take them off. But I'd like to always have some music, documents, apps and maybe pictures on it too.

URGENT] Why won't my Kindle Fire charge?

I have had this Kindle for almost a year now, and I can't get it to charge. I plugged it in one day, and it won't charge. I tried changing the outlet and the power cord, and nothing happened. If I position the Kindle Fire with the cord in it very gently and specifically, then it will charge, but this takes like 5 - 10 minutes of my time finding this out when the battery is at 5 or less percentage.
