It's been working since I got it 2 years ago with flying colors, the internet was fast, downloading books was easy, and emails were a snap. But, since yesterday the wifi has begun to act erratically. The only way to make it work is to turn off my router and modem, then turn them back on again. Yet after I do that, if I turn my device off it screws up the wifi, and when I turn it back on again I have to go through the whole process again. I've already tried turning off my Kindle, hard-rebooting my Kindle, re-doing all my passwords and making sure they were right, reseting all my passwords, and seeing that there weren't too many devices hooked up to my wifi at one time. Nothing works! I've already looked at the Amazon trouble-shooting website and there's nothing there. I'm very upset about my beloved Kindle, any suggestions?

Apologize but dont care to kindle the relationship.?
I had a fallout with a few friends a couple years ago. I feel bad about how I handled the whole situation and while she handled it terribly as well, I just feel the need to reach out and apologize for the way I handled my end. I want it to be general though, short and sweet. I'm about to move and really don't care to mend the friendship. We were in a non profit organization together and another girl and I kind of cut her out of everything because she wasn't doing her share and supporting. She did her bad mouthing on facebook and what not but I just want to clear my guilty conscience so I know I did what I could to fix it… what should I say?

How to get books on my kindle?
I just got my kindle an I have school on Monday, so I wanted to get the book called matched. I pressed buy an then my mom had to put in her amazon info, and I thought it had worked. I checked my book category and all I had was dictionary's.we bought the book but we have no clue what went wrong. The book is not showing up anywhere. HELP!!!

Strange Dream I Don't Know Why I Dreamt It?
In the dream, I was sitting at a table with one of my good friends, Kieran. He was reading a book on his kindle. Everything seemed fine. But then, I heard a strange noise. I looked up and their were animals nailed to the walls like, eagles, geese, and several other animals. I felt really upset, but Kieran didn't seemed bothered at all. He just kept staring at his kindle.My mother than walked in with a hammer and nails. I asked her what she was doing, and she explained that she was being sure that these animals never left her. I don't understand why I'd have such a violent dream! When I awoke that morning, I felt depressed and really irritated. Anybody know why!

Kindle Fire issues with charging?
Okay so i had the kindle fire 1st generation since 2011 when i first got it it had know problems but know its starting to run slower charge slower everything but the main problem is the charging i left my kindle on the charger for a hour cause it was at 1% when i woke up it was at 15% i was pissed cause when i used to charge it it would be fully charged by a hour im really starting to hate the kindle fire -.-

My husband cheated on me for a year what do I do?
In early February my at the time fiancee and I had a domestic dispute I left the house with my daughter. I was devastated and really wanted my daughter to know it was not all right for him to treat me like that. I needed time to cool off, he called me all the time crying, begging me to come back. I eventually started talking to him Again in early April and we quickly re-kindled our relationship however with a lot of changes. I got an apartment and told him I would not lay in a bed with him or live with him until we got married and we went to counseling. He agreed to everything cried a lot saying he thought I would never come back. During this time one day he told me about a time in march he got so drunk that the bartender "bobbie" gave him a lift home.At the time I thought it was odd because in the 4 years I have known him I have never seen him drunk, and just the way he said it was like there was more to it, but I didn't press him, in fact I told him that we were apart then. We went through counseling, and got married in August, I moved back in, and looked forward to happy ever after. That is until this march (two weeks ago) when Bobbie came to the house demanding to know exactly what I was to my husband. I had my suspicions for a while. I had found text messages, and he would go away all the time. I tried talking to him twice about it told him the text messages weren't alright, and she had admitted knowing we were married "she wished we weren't" he said ok, then put his phone on password protect. I again ask him what he was hiding? No answer except to say his phone was like his wallet. Then she showed up and confirmed all my suspicions. He was there too, said very little finally looked at her and told her I love my wife please leave.she did. I needed some space so I went for a drive. He wanted to know if I was coming back I told him yes. How can I ever trust him again, what should I do? He's denying that it went on for a year. I don't believe

Whats better, a kindle fire or an iPod 3rd generation?

I dropped my kindle fire an now it won't work?
I keep a leather case on my kindle fire and I accidentally dropped it face up on the ground, there is a crack in the bottom of the screen and now I can't use the touch feature on it, the on off button is the only thing that works, is there anywhere I can bring or send it to get it fixed??? :-( my husband bought it for me.

My Kindle Keeps Shutting Off?
I will be listening to music and if i want to turn the volume down or switch the song it will go dark and then it will not turn back on unless its on the charger.It just updated itself so hoping that helps bnut does anyone else have this trouble? If so how do you fix it?

Writing stories revolving around same characters?
I'm in the process of writing, basically, a short story/novella. I'm looking to form it in parts. Basically my question is:
If I have a bunch of stories, revolving around the same characters, and I publish them on kindle separately, is there a category for that?
I mean would I consider them to be short stories? Would they be novellas? I guess that depends on the length of them.
I can do this, though, right? I can create different medium sized stories, and publish them in parts on kindle? Part I, Part II, Part III, ect.

Where should I start in The New 52?
I've read quite a few comics on and off occasionally, but now that I have a shiny new kindle and a little extra money, I think I'd like to jump into The New 52, specifically Batman and related characters like Nightwing, Batwoman and Red Robin (I'm also somewhat interested in the Super family).My question is where should I start? I looked it up on Amazon and there are three different Batman comic volumes starting at issue #1, and knowing how convoluted comics can get if you haven't kept yourself up to date on what's going on in their world at the time, I'd rather not jump into a volume where they reference recent events I have no clue about.
Also, is The New 52 really a place where new readers can jump on, or is DC just saying that? Are there going to be a bunch of references to events before The New 52, or are they really giving new readers a chance not to have their minds turned to soup by their usual convoluted storylines?

I am writing an essay for english and we are using quotes from our book to describe the characters relationships. How do I cite the page number after the quote with the kindle (or other e-book)?

When you're reading is it rude to ignore people trying to talk to you?
I find this very annoying. During my lunch breaks at work I usually read to pass the time. I'll bring a book or read from my Kindle. Other people always stop to ask me what I'm reading, then they want to know what it's about, and then somehow they want to talk about why they might like it or not. Several times I've just smiled and politely said I wanted to get through a chapter before the end of lunch and then I'd talk, but people don't take the hint.So I've taken to just sort of ignoring anyone who talks to me when my face is blatantly buried in a book. This has in turn caused a couple people to start accusing me of being snobbish.
"Oh she's too good to talk to us."
One woman told me I should go read in my car or at my desk. But why should I? I'm not doing anything to anyone. I'm just trying to enjoy myself. How does it harm anyone else if I just want to sit there quietly and read? And no, I have NO expectation at all that everyone around me should be quiet (it's a crowded lunch room). I just don't want them trying to talk to me.

Do some books come free with the kindle?
I've had a kindle for a while now, but recently three books, which I haven't noticed before, are in my library and they have the 'new' marker on the cover. These books are: Aesop's fables, Pride and prejudice and Treasure island. Did these download for free, automatically; or has something else happened and I'm being charged? Am I the only one this has happened to?

I I have been looking at a Blackberry playbook & Kindle Fire but open to suggestion

I'm planning on getting an e-reader. Can Owning the NIV bible in your home cause your sin to become worse?
So yeah,
I noticed that the longer I used the NIV 2011, bible the more into lusting after women, pornography, and even jealousy became to take over my life. I now use either the ESV or KJV translations. I had this idea that everybody was kind of perfect. I also know a church called University Bible Fellowship that has lost it's church members little by little. They too have read straight from that NIV bible and I think it has made them worse too.My friends and some other people said "Be Carefull with that church" I thought they were crazy, but it turned out that they weren't. Not only the NIV bible, but the fact that the pastor in the church seems to be controlling the people and they don't see it. He reads straight from a script instead of preaching by memory. Many of their church members had to leave because they were a little pushy and controlling. They meaning the Korean and other missionaries.It started out as a local church with Korean missionaries years ago. If you OBEY what they tell you, you will follow their mindset.In their one on one bible studies, their tactic is to get you to do a testimony and just as a group get information off of you. The church was even discovered as a CULT, like the jehovas witnesses but not that intense. Whoever owns and NIV bible is being fooled by SATAN himself.It's a good bible to read as a parallel, but never use it as a primary study bible, or for devotionals. Only use certain verses that make sense in the NIV 2011. Personally I just stick to my KING JAMES VERSION and my ENGLISH STANDARD VERSION. I also noticed that the ESV bible is free for download on ibooks or kindle. The NIV2011 bible costs money to download their E-Version of their bible. What does that tell you about the NIV2011? Their just about the money and nothing more and nothing less. Man, my two friends from my local church were right 7 months ago when he told me to be carefull with that NIV2011 bible. I regret not listening to them now.So two weeks ago I threw out my NIV2011 bible and refused to even donate it. Man how the devil has us fooled.My life started to change after that. I was less nervous, more calm, and even had no desire for pornography. I finally got it in my head that nobody is perfect and God has us for a better purpose or a goal. I'm not telling anyone that they have to get rid of their NIV bibles, but they should consider the consequences of using that bible translation. Call me and my two friends from Church crazy, but we believe it's not the best bible translation.Me and my two friends go to a baptist church and still use our King James study bibles whenever we have bible study too. Our pastor still preaches from the KJV bible too The NIV1984 I think is still OK but even that one can have problems too. I pray for the people who use the NIV2011 and that God helps them get through their troubles because of that. If anyone thinks me and my two friends from my baptist church are crazy, we're not. I want to buy a tablet.It's easy, it's fun.
An iPad seems expensive, is it worth the money?
A Samsung Tab seems fine, but not that easy to use.
I've read great things about the Kindle Fire, of course on the Amazon website.
I want to use the tablet for browsing, reading e-mail, watching series, watching tv, replacing most things I do with my laptop. I don't need to do anything heavy with it.

How can my husband see everything I look at on facebook?
My husband has some sort of way to know exactly what I've looked at on facebook and when. He says he cannot tell which device I viewed it on, laptop, kindle or phone, only that he can see everywhere I went. He has my password to FB, but apparently he also wants to check up on what I'm viewing. I need the technical answer because he won't tell me, and I am tired of feeling like the Gestapo are watching everything I do. Please don't respond with how crazy, controlling, manipulative and creepy this behavior is. I already know all that, I just need to know how to stop it. Thanks!
Added (1). He is not just seeing anything I comment, post, like, etc. He can see actual things I look at… for instance, if I look at someone's profile, he knows whose it was and when I looked at it, even if I did nothing on the page but view it.
Added (2). And also, he can tell me whose profile I viewed at what time of day… he is not able to tell where I viewed. Added (1). He is not just seeing anything I comment, post, like, etc. He can see actual things I look at… for instance, if I look at someone's profile, he knows whose it was and when I looked at it, even if I did nothing on the page but view it.
Added (2). And also, he can tell me whose profile I viewed at what time of day… he is not able to tell where I viewed. I want to know if i can buy a movie on my kindle fire and put it on my ipod.i found it cheaper to buy it on amazon then itunes.So is that possible without messing anything up.

I do.Am I a dinosaur? I use kindle regardless since it's easier to buy books and I can adjust font but nothing compares to the feel of having a book in my hand.

Do some people get mad when you don't buy books?
I was showing my kindle to one of my mom's black friends. She asked her if I could show her my kindle, and we started searching books on Amazon and she kept pointing out ones that I should buy. I told her I don't really like buying books and just get free ones from Amazon or the overdrive at the library and she made an angry face.

Kindle Fire HD charging help (Brightness)?
Alright, so I have a Kindle Fire HD, and I get totally pissed off (Excuse my language) when it takes a few hours to fully charge, I was wondering if I turned my brightness down while it is charging and I am playing a game, if it would charge quicker. Thanks for the answer! You're awesome!

Why you not believe in Noble Quran of Allah SWT?
There are many math proofs. There are many evidences and signs. Why you not believe?
This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah - Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them, and who believe in what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith]. Those are upon [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful.
Indeed, those who disbelieve - it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them - they will not believe. Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. And for them is a great punishment.
And of the people are some who say, "We believe in Allah and the Last Day," but they are not believers. They [think to] deceive Allah and those who believe, but they deceive not except themselves and perceive [it] not.In their hearts is disease, so Allah has increased their disease; and for them is a painful punishment because they [habitually] used to lie. And when it is said to them, "Do not cause corruption on the earth," they say, "We are but reformers." Unquestionably, it is they who are the corrupters, but they perceive [it] not. And when it is said to them, "Believe as the people have believed," they say, "Should we believe as the foolish have believed?" Unquestionably, it is they who are the foolish, but they know [it] not. And when they meet those who believe, they say, "We believe"; but when they are alone with their evil ones, they say, "Indeed, we are with you; we were only mockers." [But] Allah mocks them and prolongs them in their transgression [while] they wander blindly.
Those are the ones who have purchased error [in exchange] for guidance, so their transaction has brought no profit, nor were they guided. Their example is that of one who kindled a fire, but when it illuminated what was around him, Allah took away their light and left them in darkness [so] they could not see. Deaf, dumb and blind - so they will not return [to the right path]. Or [it is] like a rainstorm from the sky within which is darkness, thunder and lightning. They put their fingers in their ears against the thunderclaps in dread of death. But Allah is encompassing of the disbelievers. The lightning almost snatches away their sight. Every time it lights [the way] for them, they walk therein; but when darkness comes over them, they stand [still]. And if Allah had willed, He could have taken away their hearing and their sight. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.
O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous - [He] who made for you the earth a bed [spread out] and the sky a ceiling and sent down from the sky, rain and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you.So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him]. And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our Servant [Muhammad], then produce a surah the like thereof and call upon your witnesses other than Allah, if you should be truthful. But if you do not - and you will never be able to - then fear the Fire, whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.
And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of fruit therefrom, they will say, "This is what we were provided with before." And it is given to them in likeness. And they will have therein purified spouses, and they will abide therein eternally.
Indeed, Allah is not timid to present an example - that of a mosquito or what is smaller than it. And those who have believed know that it is the truth from their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, they say, "What did Allah intend by this as an example?" He misleads many thereby and guides many thereby. And He misleads not except the defiantly disobedient,
Who break the covenant of Allah after contracting it and sever that which Allah has ordered to be joined and cause corruption on earth.It is those who are the losers. How can you disbelieve in Allah when you were lifeless and He brought you to life; then He will cause you to die, then He will bring you [back] to life, and then to Him you will be returned.It is He who created for you all of that which is on the earth. Then He directed Himself to the heaven, [His being above all creation], and made them seven heavens, and He is Knowing of all things.
Added (1). And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority." They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?" Allah said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know." And He taught Adam the names - all of them. Then He showed them to the angels and said, "Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful." They said, "Exalted are You; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, it is You who is the Knowing, the Wise." He said, "O Adam, inform them of their names." And when he had informed them of their names, He said, "Did I not tell you that I know the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth? And I know what you reveal and what you have concealed." And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate before Adam"; so they prostrated, ex
Added (2). Except for Iblees. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers.
And We said, "O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise and eat therefrom in [ease and] abundance from wherever you will. But do not approach this tree, lest you be among the wrongdoers." But Satan caused them to slip out of it and removed them from that [condition] in which they had been. And We said, "Go down, [all of you], as enemies to one another, and you will have upon the earth a place of settlement and provision for a time." Then Adam received from his Lord [some] words, and He accepted his repentance. Indeed, it is He who is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.
We said, "Go down from it, all of you. And when guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows My guidance - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve. And those who disbelieve and deny Our signs - those will be companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally."

Who is in the wrong in this situation?
Okay, so me and my sister (both in high school), lost 10 pounds. The whole family kept going on and on about her weight loss, but said nothing about mine.It hurt me, and I began dieting even more… Even though I was already an appropriate weight.My sister got mad and apparently me working out got on my nerves.So she got on her kindle and was talking bad about me to her boyfriend, saying I was annoying and such. Although I don't know why me dieting is hurting her. I was looking through her kindle, although I shouldn't have been, and found the notes of her talking about me. I confronted her and she's saying its no big deal. But I never talk bad about her, and it hurts to see that she would do that to me.

What does this paragraph mean?
I know it is quite long, but I can't understand what it is exactly saying.
God allowed the Western church, on account of its sins, to be cast down. There arose, indeed, certain pseudo prophets, sons of Belial, and witnesses of anti-Christ, who seduced the Christians with empty words. They constrained all sorts of men, by vain preaching, to set out against the Saracens in order to liberate Jerusalem. The preaching of these men was so enormously influential that the inhabitants of nearly every region, by common vows, offered themselves freely for common destruction. Not only the ordinary people, but kings, dukes, marquises, and other powerful men of this world as well, believed that they thus showed their allegiance to God. The bishops, archbishops, abbots, and other ministers and prelates of the church joined in this error, throwing themselves headlong into it to the great peril of bodies and souls… The intentions of the various men were different. Some, indeed, lusted after novelties and went in order to learn about new lands. Others there were who were driven by poverty, who were in hard straits at home; these men went to fight, not only against the enemies of Christ's cross, but even against the friends of the Christian name, wherever opportunity appeared, in order to relieve their poverty. There were others who were oppressed by debts to other men or who sought to escape the service due to their lords, or who were even awaiting the punishment merited by their shameful deeds. Such men simulated a zeal for God and hastened chiefly in order to escape from such troubles and anxieties. A few could, with difficulty, be found who had not bowed their knees to Baal, who were directed by a holy and wholesome purpose, and who were kindled by love of the divine majesty to fight earnestly and even to shed their blood for the holy of holies

Ok so my brother loves this game called survivalcraft and he is getting upset because he cant write on his signs in his city.
