Is there a way to return a kindle book that I've already purchased, pay amazon the difference between the kindle book and the print version of the book, and then get the print book sent to me?

10 inch or bigger, not smaller. The 13.3 inch sony e-reader will cost more than 1000$.

Which tablet is best for my purposes?

Im looking to buy a tablet because my university/library is quite a way from my home and my laptop is old as it is and very heavy and Im tired of having to carry it with me all day.

I mostly need it to look up stuff on the go through the internet (like when the trains come and go)
But I also intend to use it as a pdf reader(and one I can download new pdfs on the go) because the my kindle has too small of a screen for book format pdfs and the OS feels so ugly static.

I have never had a tablet before so I have no Idea whats necessary/sufficient for my demands but I have thought about a windows tablet, mostly because of the usb ports but I cant imagine them having a good performance (windows and stuff -_-)

TL;DR:

-storage device
-not too expensive

Kindle wont connect to wifi and my computer says ip conflict?

My kindle fire has been connecting to my internet sense about a week agaio. It has a white x next to the WiFi symbol. I tryed resetting both router and kindle. My kindle connects good with other WiFi except ours. We turned off everything in our house and reset the router and when i turned my computer on it said "windows had detected an ip address conflic" and im guessing thats my kindle. What should i do?

My kindle paperwhite already has card info on it? How?

I got a kindle paper white for my birthday and I tried to buy a book on when it asked for my card info. So as I went to get that all set up, I found that there was already info on it and there's no place to get that off of my kindle or change it! I need to, otherwise my kindle is pointless! Please help! What do i do?

I have a library of over 23,000 books on my kindle which I managed to get for free, it has all the classics and many more books. As I am spoiled for choice and wanted to know what book I should read next. Any help would be great

Is there a noticeable difference between a Windows phone and an Android phone?

I know this will make me sound completely technology inept and I pretty much am. I need to replace my old HTC Inspire that had a 2.3 (?) Android operating system but the newer versions are so expensive.

I won't be using it as a phone--more of a tablet that can fit in my pocket, I suppose. All I used my other phone for was like the Kindle app, listening to music I put on there, watching Youtube videos, checking my email, using a free texting app, or using the internet. I took the SIM card out of it because I've got another actual phone-phone.

My phone was great up until I washed it in the washing machine. I wish I could find something like it again but I wanted a more current system if I'm going to get a new one. The only thing that concerns me is I'm never able to use the Google Play store. I had to download apps from the store that came installed on that phone and I have no idea what the store even is…

That's why I'm kind of hoping maybe someone can give me any suggestions? I don't really want to spend more than maybe $70-$80 on it and it can be used from eBay or something as long as it works.

I found a Pantech with a 2.3 operating system on Amazon for $58, but it really wouldn't be much of an upgrade from my phone.

My third kindle has broken, not sure why so now looking for a new e reader. But not sure if I can put my many books onto another brand.

Why does my Kindle Paperwhite freeze randomly?

I have had kindle for almost two years and never had any problems with it. This week it started freezing and restarting on its own even when I'm not touching it. I have tried to factory reset it TWICE and still nothing. Even opened it, took out the battery and put it back in (worked for my phone) but no, doesn't work. Today it doesn't even restart. It's completely frozen now. And I've noticed that it doesn't even charge anymore. Could it be battery problem? Somehow I doubt it. (kindle model is D00901)

Why are e-readers so expensive?

A Kindle Paperwhite and a Kobo Aura cost $140 and $110 respectively. The cheapest Lenovo Ideatab costs $95. It has a camera, twice the memory, twice the ram, twice the processors(each one being faster on its own), glass screen, has speakers and a mic. The only thing the e-readers has that isn't twice inferior to the cheaper tablet is its unique display.

Is the e-ink display so expensive that the e-readers higher price can be justified even though it lacks in all other aspects?

Why can't I use just my Gift Card balance on Amazon?

I added my 25$ gift card to my Amazon Balance in anticipation of getting a book on my kindle to read while I'm on a road trip Wednesday. I went on to get the book "In His Own Write" By John Lennon, and it said that I had to have a credit card. I went to ask my dad and he let me put it on but I couldn't buy anything with it. I said okay and went ahead and added it. I proceeded with trying to purchase the eBook, and it told me I had to use the card. I know I couldn't do that so I took off the card and told my dad. We don't know why I can't use JUST my Gift Card Balance, can you tell me a way that I would be able to without using my dads card?

Horses have always stood by my side. Before, I plunged into the world of horses, I thought of myself as a quitter. I had already quit so many of my pastimes. I started off in the club joining phase. I participated in after school karate and yearbook committee. Both of which only lasted several months. After that I tried sports, I tried playing softball and soccer. I blamed my failure in my athletic capabilities. Then, I moved into musical interests. After countless lessons in piano, flute, ballet, jazz and guitar I still cannot play a single chord or dance. During all of this horses slowly consumed me. When I joined my first club I started taking weekly lessons at a local lesson barn. When I quit my clubs I had my weekly lesson to console me. Eventually, my riding skill increased and I began riding twice every week. With, softball and other sports distracting me I still did not see my passion igniting. When I stopped playing the other sports, again the horses remained by my side. For the first time I had not quit, and my work began paying off. I began seeing that I had actually improved. By this time I realized I genuinely enjoyed horses, but, only as a hobby. Alas, I still remained blind to my ever-kindling love of horses. So, still longing for a passion I searched through the musical world. Then, I saw what I had missed all along. My passion for horses began burning as a full fledged flame. I began volunteering to help disabled children ride horses. And with the other si

I need positive advice on writing this book?

Hello everyone,

I'm just asking for some advice on creating this book I'm really thinking of writing a book on. I want to write it on Historical and Present people who have achieved great sucess while having Aspergers Syndrome despite the negatives in there lives. I also want to write this without giving the reader the look that I have, I do, I was diagnosed when I was 10. I don't really want it to be 220 pages more 85-175 pages. I think I really need to write this because I need to show myself also that I can do very positive and great things in my life, besides the negativity in my life right now. I plan to publish through Kindle and Amazon. I'm worried about sending it to an actual publisher because, there's nothing in Iowa for publishing and I don't want to really deal with very strict, negative, treat you like your not good enough people. I just need to do this for me and other teenagers and adults with AS and really put a postive Ideology and mix of " You can do it out there"!

DVD TV show Rip for kindle Fire?

I'm very new to dvd ripping. I'm attempting to Transfer some tv shows I own on DVD to my kindle fire. I've tried a few Rip Programs (Freemake Video, format factory and DVD Fab.) Everyone gives me the same issue. The quality is good but the audio is always out of sync. Am I doing something wrong. They all have an output format specifically for kindle fire. Please help. Please be detailed!

Did Amazon ever fix the flaws in the Kindle PaperWhite?

I was thinking about getting a new eBook reader and I *had* a Paper White once before but sent it back after seeing this strange "rainbowing" effect on the screen and the "light columns" that stretched up to the top of the screen from the light emitters were annoying.

So I went back to my Kindle Touch. I notice they stopped selling the touch model and now mine is acting strange and doesn't want to turn pages half the time after one too many drops. Yeah… I'm a clutzy girl ;-).

So how's the paperwhite now? Any better than before? Is there something new on the horizon I should wait for?

Kindle reading app for Windows 8?

I downloaded it, and I have no problem getting books from Amazon onto it. But I can't figure out how to get books from places like Gutenberg. I got the Send to Kindle for PC, and I downloaded the files from the website to my documents; but when I try to use the Send-to-Kindle to send the files to my Kindle App, it says that I have to register a Kindle. It won't let me send the files unless I "register a Kindle". But as far as I can tell, my Kindle reading app for Windows 8 is already registered. Why won't it work?
