Maybe I am being immature, but don't you think this is unfair?

So my two little brothers, six, each got a kindle fire yesterday. I've been telling my dad how much I want one and he went out and got them one instead saying it would be pointless for me to have one since I have a smart phone. I'm pretty jealous because of how bad I have wanted one and he went out and bought little kids ones instead.Do you think I am acting immature or do I have the right to feel like this?

Kindle can't cope with all books so Real books will always be with us?

I read a lot of history and a lot are bigger then these can handle so just give a real history book… apart from the fact that not ALL books are available on these because of deals they've done etc etc… I walk into a bookstore and I buy a book… plus I have shelves at home that are filled with books… not just a boring device… with respect I love tech and all but … come on give me a break…

Why does my kindle touch's battery go down when it's off?

I have a kindle touch. I don't use it too often, like I leave it off for a couple of weeks because I'm busy. When I turn it back on, more than half the battery is gone, even though it was fully charged before. When it's off, I make sure it's off and I make sure the WiFi is off too, but it still happens.

I have read about the x ray machine damaging the screens of kindles permanently.As this is my third replacement kindle i don't really want to ask amazon for another.

I will be taking it in my carry on. Please answer ALL the questions below.

Why has my computer been acting crazy since I installed Kindle Reader?

That's the only thing I've done to it that wasn't there prior to the major craziness I've been having for over 2 months.
Kindle Reader takes forever to load, and all my other programs won't work at all if Kindle is on but hidden from view while I do other things. I've discovered that I can't DO any of those other things b/c the programs keep freezing and I have to force a quit.

I have Macintosh OS 10.6, Snow Leopard.

Are there any free book reviewers out there?

I am an independent writer/author and I recently published two novels and although I have a good amount of readers, I only got one review, and I am beyond my budget. The first is 'Bias Passions' a story about a young woman who was molested at age four by a babysitter(a woman.) This character happen upon a few common cultural hardships and circumstances before she finally decided to seek for a change.As she approach her adult years she come out of the closet and live her life as a lesbian, and then she falls for different types of women when she finally crossed paths with one female in the Hamptons. Her and this woman fall in love with one another and decide to make a life together for longevity until they run in to wealthy, manipulative, powerful Chinese woman who has her eyes set on one of them… (But this is just the beginning)
Then I have my second novel 'Misplaced Since The Delta,' which take place in the 1960's and 1970's. The story is about an African-American woman from Greenwood, Mississippi who was abandoned by her biological mother. She was raised by a married White couple to only have a ton of secrets unravel over her head. She makes her way from the south to the Big Apple for a better shot at life but life to shot at her instead.
This is a fiction memoir, but if you have an ounce of soul in your body, I can assure you that you'll experience body chills and thrills while reading this book.

Australians - what fuel do you use for your BBQ?

I've been using Redhead firestarters and coals, and ironbark kindling, in a brazier.It's hot enough for cooking my sausages, roasting corn and potatoes in alfoil on the coals. I'm a BBQ learner. Now I want to cook on it all the time instead of using the cheapo electric stove in the kitchen. Food tastes so much better and it's more fun on the cold nights to watch the fire instead of the TV when we have dinner.

What kind of BBQ set up do you have?

Kindle fire.how versatile?

My sister doesn't use her kindle fire much anymore and has been talking about giving it to me. Of course, I would be quite happy to accept, but I would also like to think I might actually use it.

Do you have familiarity with the equipment? Can you download things onto it that don't come through Amazon? For instance, can you get stuff from your local library? I am perhaps living in a dream here, but it would be nice.

I noticed Amazon has something called Prime for about $80 a year. Have you tried that? I think it has movies and books, but I couldn't find a site that would actually show me what it had without doing a free trial.

Anyway, any insights would be greatlyappreciated.

Why is my kindle battery not lasting?

I recently bought a kindle paper white about a month and a half ago. I only read it for 1 hour or 2 with light and wifi turned off. Its supposed to last 8 weeks with light on 10 with 1 hour reading a day. Everytime I go to charge it it stays at about 97% charged and says its full. I only get a week out of it at best. What do I do? I've tried charging it for 14 hours twice but to no avail. I charged it last night and the battery is drained to about 75% I didn't even use it! Please help!!!

What's are some fun games to play in the car?

We are going from North Carolina back to Pennsylvania.It's a long car trip and my sister is 6 and is always saying how bored she is. I'm 16 and I want to make the car ride easy for everyone, so I'm trying to find ways for us all to get along. On the way to Carolina we played the ABC game with road signs, but she wasn't all the interested. I'm not sure if she'll participate in any of the games, so games that could be played at her age level would be appreciated, but aren't necessary (I can make her feel like she's helping, even though she's not). I am very fortunate in having an Ipod, kindle, and laptop, but they do get boring after awhile. I have already thought of watching movies and playing games on my devices, but the movies didn't work out so well and I'll get car sick playing games. If you can think of any, I'd really appreciate it! Thank you!:)

Project Gutenberg Kindle Downloads?

Okay so I just got a new laptop and it's running Windows 8, I also recently got a kindle but have yet to use it.My computer came preloaded with a kindle app, so I thought it would be a great time to get started using the kindle. However when I try to download books in the kindle format from the Project Gutenberg website, they download to my desktop with no way to open them in my kindle app. Does anyone know how I can get them to the app so I can sync them to my kindle?
