Solar charger for laptop?

I bought two solar power chargers once two usb ports. So i used it for a few times charging a kindle and no more, i later was going to use it again and it wouldn't charge. I put the charger in the window and even left it laying there for a few days and non of the led light on the device that shows that it's charging wasn't charging at all so that's a waist. I'm all for it, anyone with half a brain knows that these players that take a knee aren't doing it to diss the soldiers, but to protest against police brutality which is a huge problem in this country. Then again I forgot that there are a ton of really stupid people in this joke of a country. These same stupid people fail to realize that the US is the laughing stock of the world. Many police officers here have no business working at McDonald's much less being sworn in to protect my fellow citizens. And I hope that one day every corrupt and terrible officer gets shot in the face because they deserve to die. I regularly use American flags as kindling in my fireplace and will continue to do so until this country is no longer an utter joke. I hope a nuclear bomb from North Korea hits this country in order for all these stupid citizens to wake up and realize what a joke we're.

What bothers me most is when people say that kneeling is disrespecting the soldiers who fight for my freedom. Well if this was a FREE country, I should be FREE to protest whenever the f u c k I want. And the first amendment of the constitution clearly states that I'm allowed to.

I accidentally bought an iPhone 4 not realizing that Apple doesn't support it anymore. I'm looking at all the iPhones I can realistically afford on my fixed income that are still supported. What is this behavior called?

I got a Kindle for my birthday and showed it to my friend. She doesn't like to read, but she liked the Kindle, and the next time I saw her, she had a one, too - the fancier version, with the color touch screen and everything; she never uses it. The same thing happened when I got an iPod; I had one, so she had to have one, too, and I've never known her to use it. I thought the word for it was "petty," but the definition doesn't seem to match up with my situation.

My sister's husband is getting his first book published. He's written about a dozen or so book's that he has selfpublished on Kindle.

I've bought them all. I gave them all five stars even when I thought they were drek.

I'm not going to ask for one, but can I expect a free copy. If not, I will end up buying one. On the one hand, I want to be supportive. On the other hand, I don't want to Shell out $30 for a book I might not even like, and from what I understand, he'd be better off if I just gave him $30 anyway.

Also I'm going to get a book but if I buy one would it be in poor form to have him sign it?

At first I thought it was the spotify app, because it always opened the app and started playing music, so I uninstalled it. I need help deciding what kindle to buy for my mother for Christmas. I just don't know which one would be best?

I've tried looking into kindles, but there are so many and frankly, I just don't understand. She currently uses her Amazon kindle app and loves reading the free books it has to offer, but prefers buying Amazon kindle cards. She wants something light, lots of storage, no glare, and something that won't hurt her eyes to read. I'm just not sure how kindles work. Could my Amazon Kindle have a hardware problem or software problem?

Okay, so I have a 3rd gen Amazon Kindle black & white version that when on a full charge won't turn back on when the screensaver activates and says the battery is dead when I try to wake it from the screensaver screen that shows up after not using it for 10mins after just taking it off a full charge with the solid green light. It does this every single time, once it gets to screensaver and I try to wake it, it will say my battery is dead. However, after I diabled my Kindle's screensaver from turning on by itself after not touching it for 10 mins I noticed I can use it for 4 hours or longer. It seems that once the screensaver activates it just says my battery is dead even though it's not. What could cause this problem? I thought it might of been software related, so I installed all necessary updates from Amazon, that did not work. So then I wiped it completely, restored everything to factory defaults, and again installed updates from Amazon. But this problem still continues. Why might this be? I'm so confused if this is a hardware problem or software problem.

Creative writing laptop?

I saw an ad on Instagram for a laptop that was really only the bottom half of an electronic paper screen (like that on the original Kindles). Do you prefer iBooks or Kindle Unlimited?

I'm so angry right now; in fact I'm absolutely livid. All I'm trying to do is overcome my anger by reading Thic Nhat Hanh's book called Anger, but unfortunately I bought it in the Kindle version. I say unfortunately for two reasons:
1. I actually had to buy the book twice in Kindle because you have to pay ten dollars a month in order to read a book in Kindle, but because I stopped making payments I lost the Kindle Unlimited as well as all the books I purchased, so when I had to get a new Kindle I had to buy the book for a second time.
2. And this is the main reason: I'm trying to read but can't help but be completely distracted by the big, bright, and annoying light coming from the margin on top the screen on my MacBook Pro. I don't know what it's called but it's the bright margin with all the listings like Safari, File, Edit, View etc. I can't find any way to get rid of that, whereas in iBooks, in I open that up, it completley covers all of that and I can read in peace.

I guess I will have to keep being angry until I can afford to buy the book for a third time in the iBooks.

Supplies for a three day solo camping trip?

Not much here, but I'm going to clear some of that smoke in my head and take to the New Mexico mountains for three days. I want to run by some of my supplies. It's been a few years since I last trekked into the wilderness like this, so if I'm missing something or if you could recommend something, I would be very gracious.

So I have about three days supply of dry food, mostly freeze dried Mac n cheese and chicken. I have my sleeping bag and a single person tent, a pair of day clothes, a thermal shirt and pants for sleeping, an extra pair of pants, a fleece coat, a fleece hat, my ax, my knife, a waterproof case for electronics and my fire starters, a poncho, a space blanket(never really needed it, but it's compact), a few pieces of kindling. This seems like all I need for a couple of days.

Oh and I also have my revolver in case of an emergency. Other than that, if you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them!

I have a kindle keyboard (about seven years old) that fell on the floor. I then took a wet paper towel squeezed the water out and put a little dawn on the towel and wiped it down. I was careful to not get any holes too wet. It was completely off while I washed it and then I dried it right away with a paper towel and kleenex.

I saved a still from a movie and painted over it and applied several filters so essentially it is a different picture with only the pose of the actors remaining. Is this legally acceptable as an ebook cover on Kindle Direct?

Sto scrivendo la tesi, per fare prima, invece che aspettare l'arrivo dei libri per studiare, ho comprato la versione Kindle (io non ho il Kindle, ho scaricato l'app per pc). Il problema è che ho bisogno di sapere il numero esatto delle pagine che leggo per appuntarlo sulle note a piè di pagina. My Kindle fire HD's audio is acting weird, can anyone

So ever since yesterday my Kindle fire HD has been acting super weird, there are times when the audio will be at full volume but nothing is heard. And today my Kindle keeps doing it and now saying "headphones disconnected" even though I never had headphones plugged in to begin with. Can anyone help?

7yo has a new attitude problem. Ideas for helping?

My 7yo has recently been having breakdowns. Like any kid, he gets unhappy over not getting his way, but lately his reactions are getting worse, and over things that are complete routine that weve been doing for years now (going to the gym, getting ready for bed, etc).

He's throwing Tantrums worse than his two year old brother: flailing on the floor, not going to another room to calm down (we offer to let him take his DS or Kindle to entertain himself… We're just offering him some alone time while he calms down), throwing things at times.

The only changes I can think of are summer vacation/no school and a 3 week vacation we took (though we got back 3 weeks ago). He's the oldest of 3, and we give each of them some one-on-one attention everyday by playing a game or reading or, occasionally, taking them out to parks or for treats with one or both of us.

He almost always apologizes on his own later that day or the next day, which is reassuring me that he has empathy (is that the word i'm looking for?) and remorse. And he'll sit and talk with me about why he was mad and what we both did wrong in that moment, but it all is forgotten when he gets upset. We just need to help him find better ways to cope in the moment he's angry or upset.

I need some ideas for what to do in the moment and some possible long term ideas to help him keep calm and know how to properly express negative feelings and release tension (maybe teaching him running, karate, or a sport for those times?).

Yamamoto Kotetsuko Manga?

I've looked everywhere online trying to purchase physical copies of the mangaka Yamamoto Kotetsuko's manga. But they only sell them in Japanese? Specifically, I'm trying to purchase Honto Yajuu (Like The Beast) but I just can't find physical copies only Ebooks and Kindles.

Is it not available in English? It hasn't been like.scanlated? I don't know if I'm properly using that term but I've read plenty of Yamamoto' s work in English online (probably via unallowed translation) and I just want to purchase all of their work now that I can afford it. Does anyone have any knowledge on the matter or atleast an educated guess? It's kind of grinding on my nerves.

My Kindle is a Fire HD 8 and my computer is a Window 10 and it is connected through a USB wire.

The kindle will not connect or show up anywhere on my computer.

I have read all the articles, forums, restarted everything, downloaded troubleshooters etc. You name it I have tried it.

Can anyone help.

I recently took a flight on Aer Lingus, an international flight that was nearly 7 hours long.
During the meal service the woman in front of me reclined her seat as far back as she could go and not gradually. This jolted hot food and tea onto my lap. The tea was so hot that it burned my inner thighs and I was wearing jeans that were now soaked with the hot tea and continued to burn.
I asked her politely to please lift her chair. She ignored me. I went to get up to get a change of clothes from the overhead bin and she was reclining so far back that I couldn't even get up out of my seat there was no room to stand. I was in the aisle seat and had to sit with my feet flat on seat knees against my chest and lift the arm rest and get out sideways just to get out of my seat.
I remained calm and tried to be patient. The woman in front of me was just reading her kindle, this was a daytime flight (3pm), she wasn't sleeping. She looked as comfortable as can be while I was miserable and uncomfortable.
She kept rocking in her seat for 4 hours smashing my knees with the plastic part of the tray on the back of the seat that was up and not in use. I actually left the flight with bruised knees and I'm only 5'5!
I had tears in my eyes from a burn that was blistering by end of flight and sore knees. Politely asked the flight attendant to ask her to adjust her seat just a little, she said "i will not, she's entitled to do and is within her rights" she told me I had the option to stand in galley

It is kind of hard to decide if you would really like to spend time reading a book with a short introduction that you can view on the website and with all the fake reviews now on everything on amazon it is hard to decide.
I asked an amazon rep before if I could just purchase the kindle versions and look them over in 30 days instead of an actual physical book being shipped to me instead, but they told me that kindle only has a 7 day return, but if they shipped me books to look over, I could return those within 30 days. But it doesn't make sense does it? Why they do this I wonder?
Added (1). I just ordered (4) books that were around $ 50 each on Amazon and looked at them and flipped through them, to see if they are something I Really want to spend time reading and decideded to keep one and sent the other (3) back… What they would do with them now? I would consider them to be in "Like New" or "Very good " condition still. What about the author, do they pay for this? How much?
Added (2). I mean what I did above is not really much different than people going into a book store and sitting down in a chair and flipping through 5-6 books and then picking out 1 or 2.right? I think the damage I did to the books was not much more than they would do. I mean many books that would or could buy in a book store were flipped through and could tell?

I've been writing my whole life, and over the past few months I've written a collection of poems that I want to get out there. How can I make friends? Everyone hates me?

I came to my school district in 5th grade and I had a solid group of friends. In 6th grade (middle school) we all split up. I became kind of popular and had two friend groups. I was the funny and cute girl and it seemed like everyone wanted to be my friend. It was a good year. In 7th grade I only stuck with one of my friend groups. (the more popular of the two) The other one and I drifted apart. I became the funny and annoying girl. Boys thought I was annoying and not cute. It seemed like everyone hated me because I was I guess annoying. The summer going into 8th grade the friend group I stuck with abandoned me. I only hung out with 2 people that summer. I'm now in 8th grade. I'm trying to re kindle my friendship with the group I didn't choose in 7th and I'm getting rejected. The group leader is kind of a brat but everyone else is sooo nice. The leader doesn't like me and therefore I can't get it. I made a new friend group too but they are kind of fake. They act like i'm bff s with them at school but didn't invite me to one of there parties and we ve only hung out once. Everyone in my grade pretty much is fake to me or hates me. Especially the boys. I've been trying to change sooo hard but I'm still known as the annoying girl/ What can I do? Please give me advice or help me in any way…

I was hesitant about using e-books. As I was thinking…"What if they all get deleted for some reason and I have a collection of $ 1000s of dollars worth of books wiped out?"), but then got more trusting of the "cloud reader" and like the fact that you can easily flip through books and seems easier to read, as you can look at a computer that is holding the text instead of having to hold a cumbersome book AND even look up vocabulary words very easily than before with actual books. I would like to give various kindle books to my friend as a gift, for the same time. My problem is that here in Japan there's no option of giving as a gift on Amazon, and even if there were, still I could buy them and send them only one by one. I have been looking all throughout the internet on how to get android software onto my Kindle fire Gen 2 and the only Videos or in depth/comprehend able tutorials i have been able to find were for either the 1st gen or 3rd gen devices.

Would it be possible to download videos from laptop to Kindle Fire?

I thought about using a tablet for watching shows I've downloaded from the internet, play emulators, chat with online friends, play some apps and so forth on.

The internet on the Kindle Fire seems pretty clunky.

How do you get hold of rare -out of print - or unavailable books?

Online i used to use out of print bookfinders in the uk, but for some unknown reason, they shut down… Now the only real way i know how to find physical out of print, rare or unavailable books is by using the websites amazon uk or abebooks.

i'm a collector of old hardbacks and paperbacks from the late 70's, 80s period and early to mid 90's.

i mainly collect ghost, mystery horror fiction books, and i like those old art cover illustrations on books like this… New books don't have good imaginative art illustrations anymore, sad.

any way, can anyone help on how i get hold of rare out of print or unavailable books?

i'm not interested in electronic books or kindle at all. Just good old fashioned books.

How doing get rid of the others section in the storage of Miscellaneous on my amazon kindle?

For a while now, I have had low to critically low storage on my kindle fire. When I look at the storage bar, 4.57 GB out of the 5.51 GB I have used up of space are taken up by this unseeable unreachable "others" section under Miscellaneous. I would love to get rid of it, as on only have 123 MB left.

Are Books in their traditional form (binding, paper pages, etc) going out of usage nearly with Kindle books taking over?

It is easier to read a book these days on your computer than holding a big heavy book in its physical form? Also you can easily go to certain parts of a book on Kindle, plus look up word meanings easy and quickly and not have a heavy book to lug around or store?

SINCE WHEN THIS HAS BEEN THE CASE? 2000 MAYBE? OR WHEN? WHY SOME STILL PREFER TRADITIONAL "BOOKS"?

What should I do about a bruise that is making my arm super sore?

I have the flu and all and was sent to the ER Monday night by my doctor for iv fluids due dehydration due to severe throwing up from the flu, I go there and they put an iv in me to get lab work and they left the iv in me and I was there for about 3 hours. I'm using crutches for an injury so when I walked with them back to waiting room or to my ER room it hurt more because of using the crutches, I had them put the iv in right arm as the left one is hard to stick and usually bruises easy because of that. So I'm right handed so was using that hand to play my kindle while I waited and all so my arm was lil sore while having the iv in, long story short they never did give any fluids so I was left with an iv in for 3 hours for nothing, fast forward till Thursday night at bedtime I noticed a bruise on my arm where the iv was and from the pic you can tell it is a big bruise, I left it go and went to bed then yesterday I woke up and noticed my arm was hurting good bit in that sport where the iv was, I went to an appointment so was on my feet with the crutches a lot of the afternoon same as Wednesday and Thursday. So I came home and arm was really sore and hurt more to straighten arm out so I iced it. A friend told me that I should not be bruised and hurting like that and that I should go see my doctor about it and see what he has to say about the bruise as it is not normal for it to be like that I said I'm on steroids for my bad chest but did not start that till Tuesday.
Added (1). so I said maybe starting the pred a day after getting the iv made the bruise a lot worse and way to sore but I'm not sure and I said wedneday I went food shopping as I had no food here that I could while being sick and then was doing that and using crutches all day and same as Thursday so maybe that caused my pain but I'm not sure. The pain is not to bad right now when I stretch my arm out but it is still sore, should I go see my doctor about it or let it go?
Added (2). my friend is just worried that the bruise might become infected because of the size of the bruise and because of how much pain I'm in because of it, keep in mind that I'm already in antibiotic for chest infection

Kindle users, any idea?

There's a book I really wanna get on my kindle. It was in the "deals" section a few weeks ago for very cheap but I didn't realise and I didn't buy it, and now the price is going up again. How long do you think I'll have to wait until it gets cheaper again? Stupid question I know, but I really don't like paying full price for ebooks. (And yes I know I could get a physical copy but I'm only interested in the kindle version.)

You get a LOT more money from kindle sales. And if it does well, publishers come begging to you to sign you up.
So, is there any point in sending manuscripts to agents any more? They are redundant.
Publishers can see which self-published books readers actually like reading instead of what idiotic agents 'think' readers want to read.

List any device you can think of that you can pair with a smart tv?

I keep getting an alert on my LG Smart TV, saying "55LW5600-UA" "pairing" and as if it's asking me to put in a code. I assume this is someone trying to pair with my TV, maybe for Display Mirroring?

At first, we just thought it may be a neighbor accidentally clicking on our device instead of their own, but it's so frequent and has been happening for so long now (no human could be this persistent!) that I'm beginning to wonder if it's one of our devices (phone, tablet) trying to do it itself.

I've checked our phones and our Kindles, and none seem to be in the process of trying to do anything like this. So I'm looking for a list of any other possible devices that maybe I'm forgetting to check.

I just want to make sure if I'm going to read it that I will get the full experience and not some abridged version where significant chunks of the story are missing.
