Does this seem successful?

I have an idea for an anime/manga but I want to self-publish it.So here is my plan.
I will write two 30-50 page eBooks for kindle per month. Each of these will act as an "episode" for the series. I will have a website built around my series and subscribers ($5/mth) will automatically receive their copies of the eBook. Once I reach enough subscribers, I will move onto creating a manga for the series. New manga pieces will be released per week to subscribers on the website. If I continue to receive more subscribers, I will move onto animating the series.

Does the process seems like it will attract customers, especially those who enjoy manga/anime?
Does it seem profitable?
Is it likely that people will enjoy this type of self-publishing?

Of course, paperbacks and DvDs will also be available for those who do not like to read or stream online.

I want some honest reviews on my idea.

Kindle Fire HD Died? Help?

I'm sorry to be asking this again but It's been 15 minutes and the other question isn't answered.

ANYWAYS. I was playing Minecraft on my Kindle Fire HD.My Kindle was charging for about 10-15 minutes, plugged into the wall. (I got this extension for the USB about 3-4 or maybe 2 months ago) So I stood back to take a pic of my beautiful house and held down the VOLUME DOWN and the POWER button. (Cuz that's how you make a screenshot!) So then BAM, It shut off and went black. I didn't even check if it was charging, and I always play and charge at the same time. (Ok, maybe 3 or 4 times) So I held down and pressed the POWER Button, but still nothing.It's charging right now. Did it die? Did I loose my house? Please answer ASAP. Thank you very much for looking at this question. :)

How to Get Books Sold on Kindle?

I've finally self-published a book that I've been working on for years and would like to sell it on kindle for a modest amount ($0.99-$1.99).It's 279 pages.

I have paid someone to edit the entire text, so it is decently edited. I got a lot of feedback on it from outside parties (not just family, but people I hired to criticize it) to make sure that it's a decent book.

I considered traditional publishing, but the amount of time it takes to do that and the fact that you receive royalties instead of the majority of the earnings when the book is purchased made me want to self-publish.

So the question is… how do you get a book sold once you put it up for sale on Amazon/Kindle and other online bookstores? I guess what I need is marketing techniques.

It's a teen paranormal romance genre book, by the way.

Faulty Kindle and lost receipt?

I bought a Kindle from Argos in November last year, and I haven't even paid for it yet as I bought it with an Argos card where you can pay later/monthly. I have a kindle fire and a my little pony (friendship is magic) app, I need to log into facebook on the app to get friends.but it wont work!!! even if i just go on the internet and try to log in to facebook, all it says is "you must log in first" it used to work on my old kindle (i had to get a new one due to my old one not charging) but its not working on this one. I've tried restarting my kindle, and the cookies are "on" in my internet settings. I also have a strong internet connection and it's the only one.so it's not crowded with different connections. I'm So Confused, Does He Like Me Or What?

So there is a guy let's call him… Jack.So he used to be in my study hall and it was Christmas time so I gave him and his friend a candy-cane everyday (I liked them both a lot) then I got a kindle and I put a password on it that looked like I put his name (but i didn't) it was a friend of mine that passed away. I've been playing Minecraft for a while now but I don't get this.?

So I've really gotten into playing Minecraft on my mobile devices (my Kindle Fire and iPod touch). But while I was building my "house" in creative mode and put a bed down and tried to sleep it said you could only sleep at night.My question is, is there a way to make it night time on creative mode on your mobile device(My Kindle Fire)?? And if so are you able to wake up at any time?

What is the cheapest good tablet around $199?

I'm on a budget plan because I am taking an online course for 3D graphics and modelling in Maya, 3D Coat, and Zbrush I just want something I can browse on the internet to go on my online course see my professor do stuff on the software I am learning on and follow along on my other computer with the software opened. I'm not into looking for the best tablets just for the one I can browse the internet to watch videos, download videos, and download e-books mostly. PDF files since all my computer programming books are. PDF files so I can further learn C++, JAVA, and JavaScript.

So i bought a kindle fire a while ago, and then, after giving that away, i bought a kindle fire HD, though i loved the new additions to it, i didnt like the internet capabilities.then my KF HD got stolen, my dad sais he'll pay for half of a new tablet, an ipad mini is out of the question, (expense) but im thinking either a nexus 7, another kindle fire HD, or a first generation kindle fire.the nexus 7 would be my first immediate choice, except that ive already bought a ton of ebooks, some audiobooks, and a couple apps on amazon, and getting another kindle fire 1 or kindle fire HD would save me alot of money, but then again, im more focusing on school than recriation now, so that narrows it to nexus seven or kindle fire 1. How to download book to go on my kindle?

So I've been looking online for hours now for a site that is safe and free where I can download books. I read so much and spend so much on books and the reason I got a Kindle was so that I could just download books from the internet, but I just can't find any books I want that are available to be downloaded. I know Amazon has some free books and I have all the free books from them that I want but for example, I would like The Perks of Being A Wallflower and The Fault in Our Stars and they are not free,
Loads of websites have been talking about converting pdf files into ePubs but I don't know how.
All i'm asking is if anyone knows where I can download free and safe books online easily.

'What's the Word? ' kindle fire HD edition, stuck on level 25?

I have the Kindle Fire HD edition of the 'What's the Word' app and from what I've seen it's a lot different to the normal app. I'm wondering if anyone else has the same or can help me anyway because I'm stuck on level 25 where there is a square watermelon, a house with a red bobble hat on it, a man in a red top on a little bike and a red drink in a cocktail glass with a scorpion in it and the word is 6 letters long. I can't find the answers for it anywhere? Thanks

Are children too exposed to technology?

I'm referring specifically to toddlers and younger children. I overheard a mother saying to her child "Put the crayon down… come here and practice your writing on the kindle." How is that going to work when they start school and don't know how to hold a pencil? When they expect ink to be produced from their fingertips?

Also, what is your view on tablets designed specifically for children? I have never seen one up close, so can't really comment, but isn't it a little… sad? I would hate to be thinking back on my childhood and just picture myself tapping a screen. I'm aware parents don't just leave their child staring at a screen all day (well, maybe some) but what will the case be in 10 years time, when one million other things are on the market?

I understand we are not in the 1900s anymore and technology is a wonderful tool, but should a child really be familiarised with the iPhone at aged 2? I just think telling your child to choose a touchscreen over a piece of paper is quite ridiculous.

My cousin is 2 1/2 and when she cries she is pacified with her mother's phone to play with.Am I alone in thinking this is plain wrong?

How's it going with your tax return?

Things have seemed a little crazy this year between the IRS waiting til 1/30 to officially start, the education credit delay, etc. How's everyone doing?

I filed on 1/18 with taxact and opted to have my fees taken out of my refund, which means it went to their bank, republic bank, first.My state and federal returns were both accepted on 1/25 - I got in on that test batch the IRS did. On 1/30, when "Wheres my refund" opened up, I checked it at 6:30 in the morning and it already showed "refund approved" and gave me a date of 2/1 for my deposit. I spoke to Republic bank on that same day and they had it already - on 1/30, which makes me believe that the IRS DID start processing some returns before the 30th… how else would it be that quick for me! But, they were waiting for taxact to send them my info. Taxact finally did the next day, 1/31, and I had my federal refund hit my netspend card about about 10pm that night.My state refund came a few days later. Got my car fixed (need a LOT of repairs thanks to going off the road =(… about 2 grand)… got hubby a new TV and me a wicked fast laptop (1200 is what it cost - but sick, sick specs and so fast!) We got about 10 grand total between state and federal, and after all that, plus buying some clothes, our kids some goodies (oldest a kindle fire, 6 year old a kids tablet and bigger toy for my 2 year old)… we have about half of it left and put that into the bank/savings on Friday.

Eat breakfast

Leave by 7:35
Get to school between 7:40-7:55
Come home at 3:30 or 4:30 depending on the day
Do homework eat dinner
At 7 take shower
Work on any school related things at desk until 7:30-8:00, some nights way later
Relax by reading, watching television, or do something like a puzzle.
Finish any conversations with friends on Facebook. Get everything ready for school.
Get in bed and read on kindle from 15 minutes to an hour depending on the night. Sometimes more, sometimes less.
Turn lights off, and go to bed.
So, eights schedule changes depending on homework I have.

I'm looking for books that are free like the ones on Kindle, or a website that doesn't instantly make me think of occults-gone-wrong and such. Things on faeries, elves, and people of those kind.
Stories are fine but I'm looking for vocabulary with definitions, how they're portrayed in various stories, etc. I've bought A Midsummer Night's Dream today with a modernized translation next to the original, so my teenage brain can actually understand it.
Please… If you're going to link me to things like dragons, I'd enjoy it if you didn't link me to a site that reminds an average person of a 10 year old boy playing with his plastic toys. I'm looking to use this information to help write a book that I want to publish on a writing community. Thank you ^_^

P.S -- It doesn't have to be 100% free but I'm not looking for $20 books about them. Any kind of e-book that is easy to read on the computer, and kindle books are fine.

On a side note, I've picked up a book series that starts with "The Iron King" as the first one. I'm curious as to how authors like her find myths like the fae can't stand the touch of iron, how the cat Grimalkin is said to have been an aid to a witch at one time, that kind of stuff as well.

Ever had cursed headphones?

Okay so my headphones broke and my friend gave me a 'brand new' pair of his. Well when I plugged them into my iPod touch I couldn't here any vocal. Of course, I thought it was the headphones and bought new ones, but it still sounded wrong! The only way to get it to sound correct is not plugging it in completely, which I'm sure you'll understand is a problem. I'm not trying to Send it off somewhere (for lack of trust, as I've had one of mine stolen before) and I don't have money to really spend :( any advice? And it's not dirty fyi.It's broken… this also is a problem with my kindle fire. Please help.
