Reading a book, left side vs right?

I find it easier to breeze through the right page as opposed to the left when reading a book.it seems it takes forever to get through the left page. ever since i got my kindle fire, i keep it on the right side of the cover i bought for it, it's like i can breeze through books now. does anyone experience this? what causes this? something with left brain, right brain maybe? thanks!

Can't purchase books on Kindle Fire?

Every time I attempt to order a book on the Kindle, I get this message:

"We could not complete your order because you do not have any valid credit cards specified for your Amazon.com user account."

Wrong. I do have a credit card on my account. I even specified the address just in case. But no matter what I do, I keep getting that error message. What could be the problem?

I have a special creed I made at age 5 that says I must wear solid white trousers. Recently I have unloaded large turds in my trousers unexpectedly when im going about my buisness in pubic areas. Internet just stopped working?

Three days ago, the internet just quit on me.

no devices connect at my house.i can us my phone, because it is connected to a different system.

there is no indication that something is wrong.all lights are on green for both rhouter and modem, and only the cable link light is blinking, but that has always blinked.

i tried resetting, and nothing happened.tried turning it all of and waiting several hours beore turning it baxk on and it got worse.now the name and password have been reset (we had it called Thc and now it says "cisco1259" and the password doesnt exost anymore)

I tried resetting and turning off again, and nothing happened.

I do NOT have a working computer, just my ipod, phone, kindle and PS3, so i can NOT do anything like /ipconfig.

any ideas on what may be the problem and how to solve it?

Is it time to end my Marriage?

So, me and my wife have been together for years, and married for almost a year. When we got married everything changed.
When she met me, I was a smoker. She knew what she was getting into. Even, she was a smoker. However, she smokes a lot less than me. I smoke a cig about every hour. Which comes to less than a pack a day. (unless of course you look at it from a 24hour of total awake time.)
She just complains everytime I go out for a smoke. Like if I go out 5 minutes before the exact hour, I get an ear full, and a guilt trip. (Again, she smokes too.)
Also, I have a friend who is Schizophrenic and hangs out at our house a lot. He's been a friend longer than I've known her. Well, If I go into the kitchen, he usually follows me. I think it's because he's lonely, or just isn't good being around people. And she'll just yell at him. "Get the F out of the kitchen! You don't need to F-ing follow him everyway! Jesus!" It makes him feel uncomfortable, and frankly me too. He's my best friend, and if he wants to follow me to the kitchen and chat, I don't mind.So she shouldn't either.
More on him as well, we went for a walk in some trails, and he was walking next to me, and she yelled at him for that. Like seriously? I try to stand up to her, and up for my friend but she gets more angry and defensive.
Also, if she is tired she throws a fit until I go to bed with her. I usually go to bed around 3am. (I have severe insomnia) So I just tell her to go to bed, and I'll be up when I'm tired. And she just flips out and guilts me. "I CAN'T F-ING SLEEP UNLESS YOU ARE IN BED! C'MON! I DON'T GET TO SLEEP CAUSE YOU CAN'T?!" So I started to bring my Kindle Fire with me to bed and watch Netflix (Headphones on) And she gets angry at that too!
Also, we have a daughter together and she yells at her for everything. (Our daughter is 3 months old) but she'll be watching a TV show, and our daughter will start crying, and my wife just gets p.o. and starts yelling at her. "You B! I'm trying to watch a movie! Calm the F down!"

Believe me, I've tried talking about all this, and it changes for a day or two, but she goes right back. I want to end this relationship but I know she would struggle deeply without my help. Finances et cetera.

I get guilty feelings very easy, and protective. I just don't know how long I handle all this little banter. There is a lot more, I just hit the ones that happen most frequently.

I purchased a book through amazon. I sent it VIA USB to my computer. After that i sent it from my computer to my Kindle. (Which is a Regular Kindle) I disconnected after sending it, and the book was not there.So i rebooted my device, and still it doesnt not show up. I have the fire hd. All I can say after reading for about 15 min is major eye strain! Should I return it while I still can and grab a paperwhite?

I thought I was going to use it for netflix and prime instant video. However, all of this Verne and Hemingway has got my imagination running wild. I no longer care for netflix; I just finished reading Verne's, "The Mysterious Island." Now that I see the paperwhite supports stylus, I'm seriously considering it.

It's not about money (okay a maybe) a little, but mostly space. If I had a house, the first thing I would do is dedicate a huge bookcase and restore my library in paper.

Wifi is connected but no internet access?

Advantages of a kindle: hundreds of books in one stage and doesn't take up much space and you can take it everywhere.it comes with it's 'own light' so you don't have to turn on the light to read it at night.
Advantages of a book: You can admire the lovely covers, place it on your shelf, turn each page with suspense.
Call me old fashioned but I very much like the old way of reading I think have tea stain son your pages and folding the edge of the page of a book so you don't forget where you were is cool. Plus what will happen to all the marks?!?

How to replace MicroUSB port on Kindle Fire?

Recently I received a kindle fire tablet from a friend. He said that he never uses it anymore and gave it to me, and also told me that the charger fits loosely and I had to connect it at a weird angle in order to get the device to charge. (I had to bend it as far up as it can go) This frustrated me, it meant I couldn't use the kindle while it was charging and that I had to be careful not to nudge it while transferring files to it from my computer. Eventually I rooted the tablet and got the "Jandycane" Android 4.1.2 jellybean ROM installed on it.It drained the battery a little bit more than with the stock ROM but still has long battery life nonetheless.At this point in time the kindle charges only when it feels like it, now it doesn't charge at all, instead the kindle battery slowly drains even though it says its charging, I want to turn the damn thing off in order to charge without using power but the device is stubborn and kicks back on when the battery is only at 5% charge or less. I blame the Micro USB port because of the problems I had with it before.Is there a way to replace the port on the Kindle Fire, and if there is one may I have instructions on how to do so?

Legal way for digital copies of DVDs?

I help to care for an old woman and she gets a lot of DVDs for birthdays and Christmas but she is not as able to keep getting up and down like she used to be and I know how I can set up ways of her being able to access a library of films on her tv from her sofa (kinda like how you have books on a kindle) but my trouble is I'm not sure if there's a legal way to get her DVDs in file format to be accessed in one place without the poor dear having to get up and down when no one is around to help her. Will se have to rebuy them all as digital copies or can I legally put her DVDs into a file format on a hard drive for her? I don't want to break the law of course and I very much doubt she does either xD. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you x

Kindle Paperwhite 3G or Kindle Fire HD?

I was originally just looking for an e-reader, preferably with internet, and fell in love with the Paperwhite 3G (£169) but then I saw the Kindle Fire HD which I believe is a tablet which you can also read on.It seems that the Fire does more than the Paperwhite for £10 less (it costs £159) but it makes me wonder whether the Paperwhite is better because it costs more?

I like to read on my iPhone. Reading a paper book gets me uncomfortable and I'm forced to sit in a position I don't like and am forced to read where there is good amount of lighting.In my iPhone, everything is easier. I can adjust text, lighting, bookmark, take notes, and sit comfortably wherever I want. The problem is, my parent will never let me purchase a book on iBooks or amazon kindle. They insist that a paper book is better and i cant argue. I don't agree with them, but what do you think. Are they right? Or am I right to choose how I like to read. Give me some pros and cons. (Does one affect the eyes more?)

I am visually impaired. I miss reading books. I know there are audio books, but it's just not the same. I'm thinking about purchasing a Kindle. I know how big the fonts can get on the Kindle Fire. But I'm wanting to know if I can change the books to high contrast (black background with white text). With my visual impairment, I can read things MUCH easier that way. I recently got the Kindle e-reader Wi-Fi, 6" E Ink Display. How long does it take to charge? I'm charging it via a laptop cord and there's an amber light showing. On Amazon, it says that that it will be fully charged once the green light shows but that you can use it even if it's not fully charged. I charged it for a couple hours, maybe 3-4, and I pressed the power button but nothing showed up. Help! I was so excited for the Kindle and now I have no idea how to work it. :(

I want to get a kindle fire HD (the new one) and I would like to add music into the kindle.

The thing is I don't want to spend a lot of money on music. What I would like to do is get all the music I want with a one month subscription to rhapsody n cancel it after I'm done. Will the kindle have the music stored in it or is it only going to be available through a rhapsody app

Also I would like to get a new mp3 to do the same as I would like to do with the kindle. Any good mp3's that would let me drag the music into the mp3 rather than have the music run through an app.
