The last week I bought a sony prs t2 (e-reader, similar to the kindle), it was very chep but the thing is that it is in neetherlands since it was brought from Europe. I've been trying to change the language to English (for the menu, dictionaries, etc), but it is not intalled; necessarily I need to install the idiom package if it is possible. I've been searching but I couldn't find anything.

My Kindle from Amazon broke so what do I do?

The battery does not seem to be working but probably since it is loose in it's connection to the kindle my dad says that the jack in the kindle itself is broken. Can I send it back to Amazon to get it fixed? Do I have to get a new kindle? What will happen to all my books if I do get a new one?

Doesn't using my home Wifi reduce the amount of Data I need to buy from my cell phone provider?

The customer service representative and friends told me that if I used my home WiFi it would reduce the amount of data I needed to purchase from my cell phone provider. So, I always use my home WiFi and when I'm away from home, I only send and receive phone calls and texts. My cell plan has unlimited phone minutes and unlimited texts. Last month I used 12% of my data limit but this month (I have the lowest amount of data you can purchase). But, this month, I have used 50% of the data limit and there is still 12 days in my billing cycle. What is going on?
Added (1). If an e-book was downloaded while using my home wifi, does reading it (from my Kindle app) on my phone while my home internet service is experiencing an outage, use my cell phone data? The book is stored on the phone (or the extra memory I have on the phone). We went without home IS for several hours and I read using my phone. I thought since the book was stored on my phone, I wasn't using data.
Added (2). Does a smartphone need wifi to receive/send calls and texts? I do not use the phone for any other functions outside of my home. I treat the phone as if it is a basic phone in the car etc.

Kindle Paperweight or iPad mini?

I am planning on getting my mum either one of these devices for her 50th birthday.
She wants a device she can read books on however she does enjoy playing games on tablets, but I'm not sure whether the iPad is worth it because my dad has the Samsung galaxy tab 2 which she uses for her gaming.

Where is Anne's letter to Jacque in Anne Frank's Diary?

I've recently heard that shortly after Anne and her family went into hiding, she wrote a farewell letter to her friend Jacque in it, but I've never read it. I have the definitive edition and I've read through it a few times and never remember bumping into it. I've even skimmed through the pages in the kindle where it's supposed to be (2 1/2 months after she went into hiding) and I can't find it. If it's there, what's the entry date?

Can I transfer songs to phone?

I have a Galaxy s3 and I downloaded some songs in mp3 form to my computer. I want to have the songs on my phone. I have a USB wire connector thingy that attaches the phone and computer together (it works on kindle too) and I was wondering if I can transfer mp3 files onto my phone with the usb wire and how I could do it.

If Galaxy s3 doesn't support mp3 files, can I change the file to itunes, mp4, etc? How will I do it? And then how would I transfer those different files?

I looked in Amazon and the book I need is available on kindle version for kindle tablets & android tablets, but I've never bought a kindle version and I don't know if I should buy the galaxy tab3. How to purchase items in the Amazon Book Store?

I need help! I have money from gift cards in my account, but I cannot buy anything! I want to buy a John Green book before this weekend. Amazon keeps asking me if I want to use a credit card. When I try to purchase I get a message that says: For your convenience, all Kindle orders are completed with 1-click. We could not complete your order because you do not have any valid credit cards specified for your Amazon.com user account. Can you please help me?

My Kindle Fire won't charge? - 1

I've had my Kindle for a year and a half, but I've only used it for half of a year. The past year it's been inactive, as my school issued me an iPad mini to use. I just tried charging it because I'm graduating and the school is collecting our iPads, and it will not charge. When I first tried to charge it, the "charging" image would flash on and off the screen. I unplugged it and tried with another cable because I assumed that one was faulty. Now, after trying at least 5 different cables, it still will not charge. It's not even flashing the charging screen with the original cable I used. What should I do?

Short thing to write besides childrens books?

I absolutely love to write, and at the moment I'm unemployed and searching hard for a job. I need a little extra money to get me by! I already have one short children's book on amazon kindle, and am working on a proper novel, but of course it could take years. So what short stuff could I write in the mean time, and publish on amazon kindle, other than children's books? Something people might actually buy. Thanks xx

Looking for a tablet, Nexus 7 (2013) or Kindle Fire HDX 7?

This is the first time buying a tablet, I've done some research on these two but I still can't decide on which one to get. I was hoping I could hear from some people who own or have tried either of the two tablets. I'll post a few questions I have below.

-Does the WiFi on Nexus 7 (2013) mess up often, I keep reading that people have trouble with it's WiFi. That's one of the reasons I'm having a hard time deciding

-How's the customization options for both?

-Is the blue haze distracting on the Kindle Fire HDX 7?

-Which does better for web browsing, and also which one is best for downloading an using flash for videos.

What I'd use it for:
-Browsing internet
-Streaming video from places such as netflix, crunchyroll, youtube and etc…
-Reading manga
-Maybe for drawing, but if they don't allow that it's fine, it was merely an after thought.

I know you can change it to your own photo by jailbreaking. I do not want to do this. Is it meant to have different defaults - mine only shows one quote.

Water got into my kindle! What do I do?!

So I was washing my kindle off with a damp cloth and I guess after I wiped a second time with a more wet cloth that a bit of water got into the two ports (headphone and charging) and I'm very sad and think that I may have lost it. So let me explain into further detail. So I just noticed after drying it that when I put the charger in that it didn't work, the same with the headphones. But I was being very cautious with washing it and only a little bit of water got into it because it still works (just not the two ports) so is it big damage or just small damage? What can I do to get it out because I don't want to tell this to my mother as she will be upset. Thanks in advance.

Why can't I read/sync non-Amazon-bought ebooks on the kindle app for mac?

I used the Caliber software to convert my entire DRM-free, public access ebook library to a format (Mobi) that is compatible with the Amazon Kindle and then successfuly uploaded it to my Kindle Personal Library.

Now I can read all my ebooks without difficulty on my Kindle device, BUT NOT ON THE KINDLE FOR MAC APP.

To put it another way: while my entire ebook library (Amazon-bought or not) is available on the Kindle device, the CALIBER-CONVERTED EBOOKS (.mobi) are NOT READABLE OR SYNCHRONIZABLE on the KINDLE FOR MAC app

Is this a restriction placed by Amazon or a configuration problem? I couldn't find anything on the config menus. Is there a workaround? All I want is to synchronyze all of my ebook reading on Kindle, Mac and Ipad.

Why can I not connect to internet on certain devices?

I have an ASUS rt-n56u router set up on my home network. I have 2 PC's, 1 laptop, TV, PS3, PS4, Satellite receiver, 2 Kindles, plus my smartphone and my wife's smartphone that use the router to share our internet connection.

When it comes to the PC's and the laptop, I have 0 issues with connecting to the internet. But usually, after a few hours of use, any one of the other devices that tries to connect to the internet, wont have access. They will be connected to the router, but they will not have an internet connection. It ONLY happens with my non PC devices.

If I reset the router (unplug for 10 seconds), once it re-initializes, my devices are able to then connect to the internet again.

I have checked to see if there is a limited number of simultaneous connections or a timeout of sorts in the router settings, but I haven't found anything as of yet.

Anyone else have some recommendations?

Help finding page numbers for a quote?

I'm writing a speech for English and I came across a quote from The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz that I decided to use. I needed the page number to do the parenthetical citation, so I downloaded the book on my kindle. For some reason, when I read through the book, the quote wasn't in there, which is weird because I see it all over the internet on various websites. Maybe it's something weird about the kindle version, I don't know, but can someone help me find the page number for this? The quote is as follows:

Which streaming player is best for netflix?

I need help picking a streaming player for netflix. It can be just the streaming player or a dvd player but the problem is that I want to watch netflix and I like to watch dubbed anime. On my kindle and phone I can watch dubbed anime by changing the language on netflix to english but on my current streaming player (which is a cheap Magnavox TB600MG2F) and there are no options for settings to change the language to English or turn off subtitles. So does anyone have any suggestions?

I tried a search but they really weren't telling me if they had options for netflix.

I inherited my grandpa's kindle which is full of apps and books that I don't want to lose access to. My grandma wants me to switch the account over to my own email, so it's no longer connected to her amazon account. Can I back up the books onto my computer and redownload? How do I go about doing this without losing all the books?

I Got sold a blacklisted kindle fire?!

So i went to the pawn shop and got a kindle fire. When i got home and tried to register it it kept giving a error message. So i called amazon and they said that the owner reported it stolen or lost! So i went back to the pawn shop and they said they put it up on clearance so that means when i buy it i cant return it. (they didn't tell me when i got it.) DON'T SAY THE FOLLOWING
-Nothing to do
-Get A new Kindle
-Sell it
-Pawn It
(i cant sell or pawn it because it's blacklisted!)

Why does my internet keep disconnecting whenever it is being used?

Whenever I use the Internet (Internet Explorer or Google Chrome), our internet randomly disconnects. This happens on average every 10 or so times anyone using our internet loads a new page. This happens on my phone, my sister's phone, my parents' phones, Kindle tablets, our laptop. Hell, even our smart T.V. Disconnects our internet when using things like Amazon or YouTube. It's almost as if someone unplugged the power for the router and plugged it back in. However, neither my X-Box 360 or my sister's will disconnect the internet in this way, even though we both have Live, and are always using it when we play X-Box.

Also, a year or two ago, a bad storm hit while we were away for a few days, and lightning struck in our neighbor's yard. It messed up some of their stuff, as well as our computer, printer, modem, and other appliances. We replaced the computer, printer, and modem, but we didn't replace the router because it was working fine, as it has been for the 5 or so years we have had it. I think that the router was damaged, but not destroyed, by the lightning, and is affecting our internet connection. It MAY be a problem with the modem or computer, but I am 99% certain it is the router. A 5 cookie reward is available for anyone with helpful information. Just kidding. No cookies:(

WRITERS: when writing, how many copies do you keep?

I write a lot of stories and stuff, and I'm absoutely petrified that I might lose my writings or they might magically disappear or something. I tend to keep numerous copies. I have some on my email, I have some on different flash drives, others are on my kindle or laptop, and then I have hard copies that I typed and printed and others that I wrote as my first draft.
