My sister doesn't use her kindle fire much anymore and has been talking about giving it to me. Of course, I would be quite happy to accept, but I would also like to think I might actually use it.
Do you have familiarity with the equipment? Can you download things onto it that don't come through Amazon? For instance, can you get stuff from your local library? I am perhaps living in a dream here, but it would be nice.
I noticed Amazon has something called Prime for about $80 a year. Have you tried that? I think it has movies and books, but I couldn't find a site that would actually show me what it had without doing a free trial.
Anyway, any insights would be greatlyappreciated.
