My kindle keeps skipping pages when i read?

ITS THE KINDLE 4, THE ONE WITH THE ROW OF BUTTONS AT THE BOTTOM
IVE HAD IT FOR TWO YEARS
IVE NEVER DROPPED IT
IM NOT HEAVY HANDED WHEN I PRESS THE BUTTONS
PROBLEM:
Im reading a book and when i press the button to move to the next page it might skip forward up to eight pages. The back page button works like this too.
WHAT IVE TRIED:
Ive tried restarting it by holding down the off button
Ive tried charging it fully too.
What can I do? Any help will be appreciated and any ques
