I'm from Australia and wanted to buy a Kindle. I jumped onto Amazon and looked at all the different verisons of the Kindle. Finally settled on the Kindle Paperwhite, added to cart and checked out. Got an error message as they don't send the Kindle to Australia and I had to visit the Australian Kindle page where the only available Kindle is the old and outdated original kindle.To make matters worse, it cost $89 AUD (without postage) for the Kindle but the exact same verison is only $69 in the US. Considering the Australian dollar is stronger, the Kindle should be cheaper in AUD and not $20 more.
Long story short, I'm boycotting Kindle and Amazon and want to know the alternatives.
