My brand new kindle fire wont charge?

I just got a brand new kindle fire, it was charging fine on my computer a day ago. Now the screen lights up when I plug it in to the USB port on my computer but it will not charge it? It has never been dropped, never gotten wet, has not recieved ANY kind of damage. I even bought a new chord for it and it wont work. Ive tried putting it into sleep mode and even turning it off but nothing. However it will charge when plugged into my cigarette lighter in my car. What could the problem be?

With Windows, iOS and BB10 closing in, will Android die?

Hello,
I was wondering what your opinion was on android's survival now that Windows Phone 8 is coming along with RT and Windows 8 Pro. I know that Android currently holds 75% of the smartphone market, but that is likely because Windows Phone has not yet had great influence and many of those users were Blackberry converts or Apple haters. But now that BB10 and WP8 are coming and is supposedly very smooth and easy to use, why would anyone want the fragmented Android OS? Also, now that Windows RT and Windows 8 Pro are coming to tablets, whats the point of Android tablets? They aren't easy to use, they are fragmented and sluggish, so do you think many people will go for Windows 8 and BB10 and Android will just become another basis for an OS- similar to what Amazon did with it's Kindle Fire? That's what I think, how about you?

Which Kindle To Get For Christmas?

My mum wants a kindle for christmas but looking for one that is good but at a good price. I have looked on amazon and saw that they have a kindle for £69.99 but you cant read during the night and the case with a light costs £49.99, but there is a Back-Lit Kindle which looks okay, which one would be better?

Can I use my kindle fire while charging?

I just want to know if you can frequently use it while the tablet is charging? Is it bad? Will any issues occur? should I limit it or better yet not use it at all? Should I turn off the wifi or what? Thanks!

I just bought a kindle, and well i cant afford to buy all the ebooks that i want to read, so is there anyway i can download free ebooks legally and without hurting my computer? Books like game of thrones, house of night… etc.And if there isnt could someone please suggest an alternative.
