Are my guitar strings too dense?

So, I ve tried playing the guitar a lot, but no matter how many times I try to get into it, I stop because the strings pain my fingers too much. It gets to be unbearable after a while. And it s not that I m pressing down too hard. Mainly, my pinky on the high (in pitch) E string hurts, and my index finger on the low E string also hurts.

I suspect that my guitar strings are harder than most others. I don t know if they ll be any help, but here are some pictures, maybe someone can confirm:

Or maybe you can suggest a test to check if they re too hard.

Thanks!
Added (1). I don't get why it's such a naive question. I've been playing, or trying to play, guitar for a very long time, going on to about a year now. Admittedly, it's been on and off practice, but I have had commitments to it, and I just couldn't take it.
Added (2). Well, I figured they might be extra hard strings because they were pretty cheap and came from a questionable store. I think I should've mentioned that. But anyway, I suppose if there is really no chance at all that I got some weird strings, I don't know what to resort to aside from more practice that hasn't worked. I'll wait for a little while before I award a top answer.
