Is this paragraph explaining secure password creation easy for the average user to understand?

I have a book for sale on Amazon, which can be downloaded to a Kindle, iPhone, iPod, iPad, Android Phone, Android Tablet, or other devices, and it has a section on passwords. I was wondering if this section on password creation is easy enough to understand. Http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MKGL7MC
Password Creation
The worst thing you can do is use your pet or spouse name as your password, and adding the number 1 to the end does not make it any more secure. What I recommend you do is to take something that is important to you, made of up more than one short word. Then assign a number value to letters and add a series of numbers to encrypt it. If you are just starting out with this, use N+1 encryption. If the letter is an A, make it a B. Using this method, the word “CatLover” becomes “DbuMpwfs”. I would then convert either the first or last letter to a number, using its place in the alphabet, making “DbuMpwfs” become “Db21Mpwf19”. Adding punctuation is also a great way to add security to a password. The finished product could look like “Db21!Mpwf19”. This password would be easy for you to remember, and make a simple hit to remind yourself, however it would be very hard for someone else to guess. Is this paragraph explaining secure password creation easy for the average user to understand
