One of my friends decided to buy a Kindle on eBay without consulting anyone and he later came to know about the various versions of it. The good thing is the seller said he would accept returns if the seal hasn't been opened. So, I just wanted to know, is there anyway we can know the following just by looking at the box/details on it without opening/using the Kindle?
Questions;
- Whether it is a First gen paperwhite or a second gen paperwhite?
- Whether it comes with special offers (Ads) or without?

Also, how do we know that the Kindle is in warranty and how much warranty is left? Is there like a warranty checker for kindle?
