Can anyone recommend, prefer book from and not Kindle, a version of the old testament that has been translated into easy to understand language? I have not gone to church in 30 years but recently have made friends that are Muslim and some that are Jewish. In the on line research I have done about the different religions the old testament (Hebrew Bible) seems to be the common core. I am now fascinated and want to learn more about what we have in common and our differences and would like to find a old testament that is written in language I can understand.
