My son just turned 14. He went to private school from kindergarten until 6th grade. From 7th grade until now, he's been not doing homework, not studying, poor quiz and test grades. His punishments are not working. Before I say his punishments, please know that it's built up to this and we've tried positive rewards, negative consequences, a mixture. None of it works. So here's his current consequences:
Missing homework= -$10 from allowance for each assignment.
Not writing homework assignments down= -$5 from allowance.
He has nothing left to take away. He lost his computer, iPhone, Kindle, and all TV time. He just doesn't seem to care. My other two kids are not an issue. The threat alone works on them. They don't want to lose any privileges or allowance. What else can I do? He knows what he has to do to earn things back and he just doesn't want to do it. Any help would be great.
