I have the original kindle fire and I'm trying to root it in order to get Android Jellybean. I downloaded the kindle fire utility, installed the android drivers for kindle, ran the utility, but then it got stuck.
Right when it was trying to install FireFireFire, it said "couldn't detect kindle" and sat at "waiting on device." Is there something I've done wrong? I just want Jellybean on my kindle…
