Okay, so I went to a 3 week wilderness camp in January and I'm going back in March as a counselor this time. The counselor I was with had a condor boom slang ( http://www.condortk.com/productos-detalle.php?producto=38&cat=13 ) for splitting firewood into smaller pieces for kindling. I dont particularly feel like spending $130 on a tool thats gonna get beat to heck. I was considering a machete just to split tinder but I feel like that may be too thin? Anyone have any tools to recommend for this? I was considering a cheap bowie as well. Any input is appreciated!
