Can I save the Kindle Edition from Amazon? If I can, how?

9First on the Amazon.com, I see there is Kindle Edition for textbook. When I tried to click the Kindle Edition, it first told me there was no Kindle Reading App on my Touch Screen laptop (1) I'm not sure if I should call my laptop tablet (laptop) when the monitor part is not detachable from the keyboard part (not a Detachable 2-in-1 Touchscreen Laptop), should I?), and that I should download the free Kindle Reading App from the Amazon. There are many kinds of free Kindle Reading Apps. I downloaded Kindle for PC, but PC doesn't necessarily imply it is a laptop with touchscreen. 2) Is it the right app for my touchscreen laptop? If I see there is an app like Kindle for Tablet, can it be used for my touchscreen laptop? 3) If something is called like Kindle for iPad, iPhone, can the app be used for my touchscreen laptop? I tried to read eText with the Kindle for PC, but it didn't have response when I used my finger to move the page. 4) Also, I see some eTexts are read online, but can some eTexts be read offline? 5) Can some eText be saved into a flash drive?
6) And what is the electronic copy of the textbook called when it can be saved into a flash drive?
7) where can I find the electronic copies that can be saved?

8) Can the Kindle Edition got from Amazon.com via the limited-time free access be saved into flash drive? How?
9) Can the Kindle Edition purchased from Amazon.com be saved into flash drive and then I can read it from my computer offline? How?

10) How can I read the Kindle Edition book offline?

Thanks!
