Let's say my friend has a few pdf books and journal articles on his computer that he got by just fishing around with google and for which he has not payed anything for.
Supposing he converts them to a kindle compatible format (AZW3) and transfers it to his Kindle, will Amazon be able to detect that it is something for which he has not payed for and is pirated? Will he get in trouble for this?
My friend would really appreciate an answer very much
