I am 51 and live in France. I am unemployed and apparently nobody wants to hire me anymore as in France after 50 you are considered a fossil ( France has the highest age discrimination in the entire European community).So of course I am still searching for work but I also read at least a book per day mostly in the English language( I love Anne Rice books, Danielle Steel and most New York Bestseller books). I use a Kindle to read them. I am wondering if my reading speed is healthy & will my English improves consecutively? ( I am half French, half American and also spent a few years in the US but I am living in France now). Thanks for your time.
