I take for granted my home wifi connection but I wanted to get my mom the kindle fire for Christmas. Mainly so she can Skype and do emails without needing to know how to operate a computer or laptop. Since she does not have either of those would she be able to use the kindle? I thought it worked similar to cell phone reception where you did not need to have the wifi in your home in order to use it? Am I mistaken, how does it work
