I have no Jewish heritage or connections & I plan on fully celebrating Hanukkah along with Christmas.
& when I light the candles I'll recant this blessing
Blessed are You, Lord our God, Ruler of the universe, who has sanctified us with Your commandments, and has commanded us to kindle the lights of Hanukkah. Though I am not of your chosen people, I light these in honor of your chosen people.
So I'll light the candles with that blessing, I'll play dreidel with my family to win gelt, & I'll cook a delicious batch of potato latke.
Is there really anything wrong with this?
