Hi, I have a kindle e-reader that is several years old. I have not used it much, but it worked fine the last time I did (over the summer). The battery needs to be charged and I have an icon on the screen that shows I need to plug the usb into power. When I do, the amber light comes on as it would if it were charging, but the icon does not change. As I recall, the icon should change to a battery with the charge symbol across it.
Any ideas what could be wrong? I have tried plugging into a couple of computers and outlet and tried 3 different power cords. Thanks.
