Is an adaptation in the public domain?

Hi

Last summer I wrote a "book-form" adaptation of William Shakespeare's classic play "Macbeth". I've decided to release it via Amazon Kindle but the online form is asking whether or not the book is in the public domain.
I'm thinking of including a free copy of the original along with my book-form adaptation (where the dialogue is updated but the meanings remain the same).

Is the eBook therefore a public domain work or not? On the copyrights page it clearly says that Shakespeare's original is public domain but I don't think my version is. Sure mine is copyrighted by me?

(I'm not too fluent in legal lingo!)
