Have to buy a textbook, what does this mean?

Hey, I have to buy this textbook for my Biology of Human Sexuality class. I looked online, specifically Amazon.com, and it had the option of either the Kindle, Hardcover, and Loose Leaf version of the book. I know what Kindle and Hardcover are, but what is looseleaf? Does that mean its just the pages and no binding? or is does it come as a binder? Thank you

Kindle and its effects on eyes due to long hours studying?

I am a student and i am thinking of buying a kindle bcz the books are expensive and i can get eBooks for free from my friends and kindle is a one time investment.plus it is easy to carry around and i can study where ever i wanna but the only problem is my eyes.my number is -5.25 of right and -5.75 of the left and i dont wanna put strain on my eyes so please tell me can i study for like 5 to 6 hours straight from a kindle without effecting my eyes or getting a headache? does kindle put strain on eyes?

How do Amazon Kindle downloads work?

I'm planning on buying a textbook that is formatted as an E-Book. Once I buy the book, can I download it as many times as I want? Can I download it on my Macbook (using Kindle for Mac from the Amazon website) while also downloading it on BOTH my phone (Kindle app) and an old laptop (Kindle for PC)? Is this possible?

What has happened to authors and writers now-a-days.?

I know this is more of a rhetorical question and somewhat of a rant but …

Am I the only one who gets pi$$ed off by these 3, 4 and 5 star books on Amazon that are just so chock full of spelling errors that you feel like throwing your Kindle against the wall?!?

I try … I TRY to not let it bother me. For the most part I am successful. But every now and again … >:-(

I mean … SERIOUSLY … don't these so called "authors" have a damned spell-check program on their computers? How about giving a copy to a friend or relative to proofread it for you BEFORE you decide to publish it?

Am I asking too much as a reader for the author to actually SPELL correctly and be more articulate in his/her wording. God knows I'm not perfect, and I probably spelled several things wrong in this little rant, BUT I'm no author either. I'm even seeing dropped words like it was some kind of race to finish the book.

Things like: "He waited by the helicopter his sergeant to arrive." instead of "He waited by the helicopter FOR his sergeant to arrive."

I'm sorry … I'm sorry every one. I just had to get this off my bosom.
