It might be due to my cheapness, I don't really know. But my very first kindle I bought was a refurbished keyboard for about $75 from amazon.it lasted about 9 months, and then the screen broke.It had a case, but it was $2.amazon was gracious enough to send me a replacement, which came with 3g and wifi which my previous one didnt have. All I had to do was package and send mine back.that kindle lasted 5 months.So, should I just buy a $30 case and stick it in a binder case? I think my problem was I keep it in my backpack and I don't put it down nice enough.
