Kindle e ink will not connect to wifi?

I have just bought a kindle e ink. I struggle to get it to connect to WiFi but did eventually manage. Now several days later I thought I would look for more books but it is impossible to connect to WiFi. In settings it says WiFi network not connected. It is just constantly scanning. It just cannot find any any network into the area at all. But there is no symbol to show wifi is on.

Where can I get PDF copies of books online, in English?

I've seen some sites but they seem to have titles that aren't in English. I use my kindle a lot and this means that I don't have to carry around bulky books (however you can't beat holding a book) :D

Why today's music is so monotonous?

For an example see demi lovato all of her song are basically same and monotonous although she is very talented but she doesn't experiment and neither do other artist they just change lyrics old artist used to be so cool they were experimental if you disagree with me just listen to any radio channel which play's songs from 70s and you will understand the difference between today's music and old music old music make you feel very glad at 70 s when people are talking about music they are really talking about music today's music is all about artist dissing each other artist like Taylor swift making song about her breakups why these people are not growing up why they are making same type of music again and again

Do these things cause bad eyesight?

So, I used to read a lot for like hours as soon as I got home, After I finished reading my eyes would be blurry but then within a hour be back to normal and perfect again, but one time when I finished reading my eyesight didn't go back, to being perfect but I didn't worry and thought it would go but the next morning it was the same. Then after that it continued getting worse for like 6 weeks then stayed the same, that next Christmas my mother brought me a kindle fire hd for reading and because I wanted something to play games on, I used it all the time. And then, (Again) My eyes starting getting worse still, I ignored because I thought it would go away but it didn't. Then at Christmas (a year later) My mother got me a laptop, I use it all the time and dont sit that close to the screen now my eyes have gotten quite a bit worse…

At arms length I can see them all clearly, My arm is roughly 60cm (I totally didn't use a ruler. XD)
Do you think I'll need glasses? (I have a eye test tomorrow which I am terrified for!

How to paint/re-color a kindle paperwhite besides using decals?

I have the most recent kindle paperwhite, and I love it; it's functionality is perfect, the size and weight are great, but I feel that the black border around the screen is more distracting to me than if it were white, and have partially remedied this with a white decal around the screen. The decals don't reach from screen edge to device edge, and the remaining edges are what I'd really like to fix. Is it safe to paint the casing of the device (without affecting functionality) with spray paint? Or another type of paint? Are there any other ways to recolor it, kind of like Colorware and iPhones?

I feel like this should have an obvious answer, but I haven't found anything that can confirm whether it's a reasonable idea or not.

My Netflix isn't working on my kindle?

Ok. So I have had Netflix on my Kindle for a while now… I haven't had any problems till recently… It will let me watch like 2 minutes of a show and then a thing pops up and says that I couldn't connect to netflix service and to visit the Netflix website… I tried that and it didn't work. I tried restarting and unintelligible the app and they didn't work either. Please help me

Does Amazon still use DRM for its Kindle & vast selection of eBooks?

Not long I asked which eBook device was better? B&N's Nook or Amazon's Kindle? From the replies I got+Doing my own research on the net, the overall verdict states that Kindle is better. But than I came across 2 articles on the net which immediately had me hearing alarm bells & questioning whether to commit to buying Amazon's current Kindle Paperwhite or not.

These articles state that first back in 2009 Amazon abruptly removed the George Orwell novel 1984 not only from its eBook store but also more shockingly from every Kindle in use! Than in 2012, a lady was stunned to discover that for no apparent reason known Amazon just went & not only rescinded her Amazon membership & account but actually went & completely wiped clean her entire library of 40 eBooks that she had bought from her Kindle!

The articles both state this is due to the highly-controversial DRM software which allows companies like Amazon to retain control over digital merchandise even when sold & lets them take away without warning any & all your digital goods like eBooks if they think you're violating their rules in even the slightest. This means that even though u select Buy on a eBook you're not actually buying the eBook itself but just the license.

Now that its 2014 does Amazon still use DRM for its Kindle & ebook platform? Or have they hopefully dumped DRM? Kindle may be the better device currently but knowing Amazon can at any moment erase my entire Kindle library without explanation is very alarming.

Added (1). 1. Can I use keyboard like a regular keyboard with touch typing or must I punch out each character like on a cell phone? I like to journal but it would be better if I could sit on the bus & e-mail to my desktop.
2. Can I store documents on it--especially recipes. Right now I store recipes on my computer and when I use a recipe I print it out and put it in a binder in the kitchen. It would be so much better if I could just just take the pad into my kitchen and follow the recipe.
Added (2). 3. I recently attended a conference in another city. I was stuck with the primitive way of notetaking. If I could take notes in an e-mail and send it to myself or if I could take notes in a document and attach to an e-mail to send to my desk top that would be great.

My Kindle Fire won't display all my search history?

There have been pages in my history that I visited a while back and have wanted to view again but won't show up after a certain point. It displays fully my history for about 2 days after I look at it, but then just disappears.

It's a bit odd then too, because as time goes on more and more of my history vanishes but it doesn't go all at once. For example, say I were to go look at what I went to 7 days ago and clicked on the drop down so I could see everything, some things I did at that time are still there but other things I did literally minutes before or after what showed up is missing.

This is incredibly bizarre and frustrating. Does anyone know if this can be fixed? Please and thank you!
