I have just read the Kindle edition and after the story of the main protagonist and the boy concludes, there's a whole lot more writing which seems unnecessary, or instance there's a long section of letter writing correspondence supposedly from the 1800's which I did not feel inclined to read, as the main core of the novel was compelling and quite enough. So, was wondering if anyone reading this has read the paper version of Salem's Lot, because I think this just does not fit well and my Kindle version contains deleted scenes so perhaps the section I mentioned was just a special feature, so to speak? If you could let me know I'd appreciate it. Thanks a lot!
