Can I split my Amazon Kindle account into two separate accounts?

About a year ago I gave my son a Kindle and put it on my account. I've locked his Kindle down so I am the only person who can make a purchase on his Kindle, so I can control what he buys.

It's worked well. He's now got a nice selection of music on it, but sooner or later, he'll need to get his own Amazon account. Is there a way Amazon will let him take the music I bought for him with him?
