I recently received a kindle fire as a gift from a family friend.
They deregistered their account, but when I try to register mine, it says "there was an error while attempting to register this account." Then it tells me to contact customer support.
Is there a reason as to why it would do this? Is there something I'm doing wrong? Please help me figure this out. I can't read any of my e-books or download apps because it needs to be registered. Any suggestions?
