I got a Kindle Fire for Christmas and when I try to charge it, it only charges when the screen is unlocked and lit.
Once the kindle locks, after non-activity for a few minutes, it locks up, but it stops charging too. Its annoying because I want it to have a full charge but I constantly have to check up on it to make sure the screen doesn't go away.
Also, if I'm playing a game or reading a book it also stops charging.So it only charges when the screen is lit but I'm not doing anything on it.
Is this normal?
