Is it worth getting a kindle fire read 'Additional Details'?

I currently own an iPhone 4S in which has a great App Store And can run plenty of multimedia apps such as sky go, bbc iplayer etc. I was thinking of getting a kindle fire for Christmas is it worth having as well as my iPhone? I'm not sure how good it is but it looks really good. I enjoy a good book and watching films as well if that helps.

Why will my wireless connection not work at home?

My router is a Zoom Series 1092 Model 5350.It connects just fine through Ethernet connection but won't work wirelessly. I know it is not the devices trying to connect because I have a laptop and a kindle and neither will connect. They both find the network and say excellent signal but when trying to connect an error displays. I have tried turning off the router and turning it back on, I have tried resetting the router, and restarting the devices trying to connect. Any ideas of what could be wrong? It does this every once in a while but usually starts working again within a few minutes. It's been like this now for 3 days straight.

Kindle Fire HD or Ipad mini?

I'm in the UK and aged 15 years old. I was planning to contribute £60 ($95) to getting a Kindle Fire HD 7" for Christmas. However with the Ipad minis release I'm not so sure anymore, if I were to get it then I'd have to contribute a total of £170 ($272) which is obviously a lot more. I can afford that much but it would mean that after I had bought presents for everyone else I'd have under £30 in saving. Is it worth getting the ipad mini or should I stick with the kindle fire hd. Thanks
Added (1). @Daniel the Samsung looks good but it is higher than than than the Kindle in price even in its 8gb model compared to amazons 16

Is It worth while getting a Kindle Fire?

Okay, so my Father recommended I got a "Kindle Fire HD" For my Christmas. I heard you can get lots of free books on this, and transfer "Kobo" books from WHsmith onto it, but my question is…

-Do you get Google Play on it, as it's android?
-Are the games on Amazon Appstore free? (i.e Temple Run)
-Is the camera good quality?
- Can you write and save memo's?

And generally any other info you have on this tablet. Thanks in advance.

Why do authors publish e free ebooks?

Hello, I'm a Writer, and I can't figure why an author would release their novel for "free" on Kindle for example. Are these authors getting notoriety?
